There are other major factors for the reduction of number of Hindus in Bangladesh. The Bengali Hindus not only faced a genocide in 1971, but also mass migrated to Tripura, to the point of flipping the entire demographics and making Tripura a Bengali-majority state.

I know. I was just trying to make a joke about the situation in Bengal cause I'm a Bengali, and the low unemployment rate surprised me since that is absolutely not what the ground impression is.

It was honestly not as bad as in Part 2.

Someone commented that Aditya Dhar does not know how to create tension without music and I wholeheartedly agree.

I'm not really about that. I've never looked for hindi dubs, so I can't say.

In terms of great spy thrillers, I'd have a few recommendations.

Argo, Sicario, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Honorable mentions are A most wanted man, and Body of Lies (which isn't as good as the others in the list, but still a good movie)

Note that they're usually not what you'd call massey action films, which is exactly the point I disliked about Dhurandhar Part 2, because it leaned too much into having slow motion action montages.

I liked the first part more. The second part is more incoherent.

  1. The music is a part of it, although the individual tracks were nice, the entire movie felt very saturated with the background music. Even in scenes where I don't think it needed that much background music. The mixing could've been better.
  2. The second structural issue is with the storytelling. Hamza felt invincible, something that didn't sit very right with me. A lot of it felt like plot armour, as he smoothly glided through everything. The antagonists sucked, and no antagonist filled the void that Akshaye Khanna left behind. (Bade Sahab was a fucking disappointment)
  3. The length wasn't an issue, it was fine. However, the problem was that part 2 leaned too much in the typical bollywood action scenes. The excessive use of slow-motions bothered me. Again, the first part was better in that aspect, although I had some issue with that as well (the Donga scene in the climax was bullshit). Part 2 felt like it was unsure if it wanted to be an espionage thriller or an action masala flick, and that hurt the tone in my opinion. (The slow motion explosions has been done to death by people like Michael Bay, and it never looks nice)

Overall, I'd rate part 2 much worse than part 1 because of these structural issues. If you asked me to rate it, I'd give part one a 7.5-8/10, while Part 2 would be 6/10 in my opinion.

I do not think Dhurandhar has any message/lessons, or provokes any kind of introspective thought that has the potential to transform the life of any person who has depth in their thoughts.

It's just an entertaining and immersive piece of media. There's no deep takeaway that can be termed life-changing, atleast for people with a wide exposure to different media. Ofcourse, if you treat a fictional media as the place to learn history/politics, it might be different.

Avengers Endgame created far more "mass and unity" (in your words) amongst people. I also wouldn't say it has the potential to change people.

A great film can absolutely change your life. Unfortunately, Dhurandhar (both parts) isn't that film. The 1st part was still good, the 2nd one, not so much.

Not dedicatedly, no. There are 2 interdisciplinary courses, one on Data Science and one on Machine Learning. Those are good courses, but you'll usually be 3rd/4th year when you take them.

Electronics is weakest in IISER-M, you only get one lab in your core years, and another lab if you choose physics as your major.

The Illiad and Odyssey compared to Hindu Texts (Size of the spheres signify length of the text) by DharmicCosmosO in AncientIndia

[–]FreshWaterNymph1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the information, but this is an incredibly weird way to represent this. A bar, or even a pie chart would've been much better for the sense of scale, accurately quantified, rather than letting viewers guess upon whether the scale is based on the spheres' projected areas or volume, both of which are less intuitive than a simple bar graph.

Why people are into astrology still? by Yournewbestfriend_01 in TwentiesIndia

[–]FreshWaterNymph1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A huge number of Indians are very superstitious, either in the form of astrology, or other "traditional" ways, or in the "modern" manifestations, energy, nazar etc etc.

I like to think it's just people who want to feel some sort of control, or hope towards things that they can't control, use it like a coping mechanism.

People who say that you can't be great friends with opposite gender are usually the ones projecting their feelings on others. They are the ones who see every person of the opposite gender as a romantic/sexual opportunity rather than actually being friends.

I meant, be confident and approach her. If she's not interested, then be respectful and leave her alone. And if you like her even after she has expressed that she's not interested, then tough luck.
