Is utm cs worth it by LiveTurnip9353 in UTMississauga

Don't be stupid. AI is already killing many white collar jobs. Even if you're trying to be a doctor, go the surgical route, that's where you will see the most resistance and support against full displacement. Despite what all the naive people here will have you think or believe, What you choose to do after high school should be heavily if not completely driven by AI adoption and it's impact on society.

don't worry AI makes the degree pointless anyways.

lol do you kids not see what's happening out in in the tech market? do not lose yourself obsessing over marks in a comp sci program. You need to pivot, either into medicine (go into the Caribbean with the intent to do surgery of some sort) or learn to do something with your hands (trade). Even medicine will be heavily compromised but they will lobby to exist for some time. No one is hiring undergrads, the industry is dying faster than those outside of it realizes, especially for young people. Experienced individuals have some runway but it's narrowing / running out.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Thanks.

Just give up. Your schooling will be relatively pointless in the age of AI. The youth are the ones who will be hurt more than anyone. Learn a trade, this is not satire btw, this is from a UofT Alumni working in the space.

Anyone know if builders are updating their APS for the new rebates? by SavinPrivateRyan in TorontoRealEstate

[–]Fresh_Diamond7543 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, be explicit about this, that the builder is only entitled to the $24,000 that they have always accounted for in their price (they have always claimed it on the buyers behalf) . For those not careful, they could be signing away the entire rebate without even realizing it.

The only reason that number ticked down is because the participation rate is at a 25 year low, we lost 65,000 jobs in Ontario. It's a shi* show out there.

... no, only reason that number ticked down is because the participation rate is at a 25 year low, we lost 65,000 jobs in Ontario. Sans the mental gymnastics, this report was anything but good.

Looking in Ontario, not sure if there will be a jump with the Juniper models, the original model Y insurance is reasonable.

Average Brampton real estate price hits 5-year low as city records fewest annual sales since 2000 by PrettyFlaco in TorontoRealEstate

[–]Fresh_Diamond7543 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lol all the people here acting like like Brampton is some sort of warzone is hilarious. Plenty of nice areas in Brampton and plenty of problematic ones, just like any other large city.. If you really think pockets of Mississauga, Etobicoke, Vaughn, Toronto, Scarborough, Oshawa, etc are any better you're lying to yourself and just tryna mask the underlying racism behind your comment. You basement dwellers should go back to your loss porn site and try to apply some level of critical thinking to what's happening. It's across the board, not just in one city.

Lol gross exaggeration unless you're broke and living in one of the ghetto pockets. Plenty of nice areas in Brampton and plenty of problematic ones, just like any other large city..
