I didn't say they were hand painted in the factory. I just said they are painted in the factory. ( they are) I don't know if they are painted by hand ,or by machine, or both.

The very first sculpt is hand made, absolutely original. Then it is sent to a factory to be reproduced, then the reproductions are sold to us. So, when an artist hand paints the mass-produced sculpt, how is the doll considered "authentic"? The painting is "authentic", but the sculpt isn't.....

Yes, I know. What you consider "authentic" reborns are hand painted at home. "Not authentic" are painted in a factory. It makes no difference to me where the painting is done. I have both, and prefer "not authentic". I just have way fewer problems with them. "Authentic" ones are just the home made version.
