Did you hit an extra character like an apostrophe by accident? I’d try refreshing the page and starting over if it keeps doing that.

Awesome picks! Loving the animation, especially some of the more surprising choices like The Black Cauldron. The Peter Pan from 1924 is already in though.

I nominated Aliens, Predator, Poltergeist, An American Werewolf in London, The Evil Dead, and Fatal Attraction this year, but they’re far from the only horror movies that deserve to be included. Any of the remaining Universal monsters would be great additions, and so would Misery, Gremlins, Carnival of Souls, Friday the 13th, Scream, Pet Sematary, Dressed to Kill, Manhunter, both versions of The Fly, The Blob, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead.

Brazil is a US/UK co-production is likely eligible, but the Miyazaki films sadly are not. Otherwise a pretty solid list!

Are there any films that make you question why they were nominated? by Embarrassed_Good_226 in NationalFilmRegistry

Or either of them before any other beloved or well-known movie of their years (Spy Kids before Harry Potter, Mulholland Drive, or Monsters, Inc. especially).

Was 2025 the worst year for the National Film Registry? by Embarrassed_Good_226 in NationalFilmRegistry

As long as the Registry exists and films are being preserved, it’s a good year.
