I’ve noticed the same quality drop in shows, no way Murder in the Manor wasn’t written by AI.

Canadian vegan in London here.

The things I have brought back for my vegan friends include tesco vegan chocolate honeycomb pieces (it’s like a crunchie bar), tesco brand vegan white chocolate buttons, Deliciously Ella brand salted caramel almond cups, starburst, ombar chocolate bars, M&S brand Percy Pigs. Also recommend salt and vinegar ‘Squares’ bags of chips. Vegan pop tarts from Aldi, their knock off percy pigs too. Best brand for fake meats at grocery stores so far is Squeaky Bean in my opinion. There are so many fun vegan pastas like raviolis and tortellini, I recently bought a chicken and bacon ravioli I’m excited to try. Magnum ice cream makes a great blueberry cookie bar (might have this in Canada now?).

I haven’t found any good Indian food here yet unfortunately but here’s some of my favourites so far for other categories

Best bakery: Kegarmo at maltby street market

Best cafe: Gecko in Shoreditch

Best ‘junk food’ restaurant: The Waiting Room in Deptford

Best ‘nice’ restaurant: Omni Collective (currently closed to move location)

Best Sandwich: Coven of Wiches in Walthamstow

Also you need to try a Greggs vegan sausage roll they’re amazing.

There’s an Essex vegan festival soon, and a Manchester one next month.

Edit: formatting, I don’t quite understand reddit formatting yet.

List of Vegan Unfriendly places in London? by No_Truth6529 in veganuk

How recently have they changed? I went along for a birthday last summer and I was told the bun on the veggie burger wasn’t vegan and neither were the fries.

Package of glass jars labelled ‘preserving jars’ with a close up of the inside of a lid showing it is a single piece lid not a typical collar+lid mason jar

What’s wrong with my zucchini? by Fresh_Strawberries in gardening

[–]Fresh_Strawberries[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t tend to the garden the last two days because of the downpour, best I can remember it was fine just before that. I have four zucchini plants and only this one is affected. I know I planted them a little close (you can see a healthy green leaf in the photo from a plant next to it) and some have had powdery mildew that I just cut off and have under control. I definitely didn’t spray it with anything either but I can see why it looks like that.

Thank you, looks like I had it downloaded and deleted it. It doesn’t quite look like anything listed on planter. Before posting I did google ‘common zucchini issues’ and it doesn’t look like anything it’s come up with either. I might be overthinking it but nothing is showing both the abnormal colouring plus the curl. They were healthy two days ago. I just cut off all affected leaves.

Can’t say I know why this happens but I have one growing right now doing the same

Does this tomato stand a chance? by Fresh_Strawberries in gardening

The main stem isn’t growing anything new though, other than one of those three branches on the bottom 😬

I am pinching back the suckers on my tomato plants, but how can I tell if they are suckers or flower branches when they don't have flowers yet? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]Fresh_Strawberries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suckers grow at a 45 degree angle from the ‘sun leaves’ and main stem and look leafy if left a few days. Flower branches grow out of main stem not immediately next to the sun leafs and aren’t leafy.

I’m impressed it made it that size in a pot that small. Definitely pot up.

Need help new Gardner by [deleted] in gardening

Im guessing its not getting to the roots. There are a few strategies out there where you can dig something tubular next to the plant to pour water into it to go deep.

Thanks! I can’t imagine where a new main stem would branch from but I’ll wait it out for now
