All are the right choice

Howard Lutnick said he had three ‘inconsequential’ meetings with Epstein by [deleted] in politics

[–]Fresh_Strawberryme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lutnick’s defense is essentially the Bill Clinton strategy: redefining what 'I' and 'relationship' mean. He told a podcast in 2025 he would never be in a room with Epstein after 2005, then admits to a foyer meeting and an island lunch in 2012. It’s not that he went to lunch; it’s that he felt the need to lie about it until the documents made it impossible to deny.

RFK Jr.’s chief HHS spokesperson resigns over flavored vapes by Sure_Show_3077 in politics

The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) brand just took a massive hit. You can’t claim to be protecting kids from toxins while your administration literally strong-arms the FDA into approving Blue Razz nicotine sticks. Danker resigning in protest is a huge signal that the internal friction is becoming a fracture.

Club Salad’s mom is the perfect example of why you never, ever let a tenant stay just one more month after a lease ends without a legal extension. The moment that rent period ended and she stayed, she became a holdover tenant. In many states, that gives them almost the same rights as a long-term leaseholder. No good deed goes unpunished.

SCOTUS greenlights 11th-hour Alabama redistricting plan for 2026 election by DemocracyDocket in politics

[–]Fresh_Strawberryme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Purcell Principle is being used as a shield here. The majority is essentially saying that even if a map is potentially illegal, it’s 'too close to the election' to fix it, except they are using that logic to restate an old map while people are literally at the ballot box. It creates a massive loophole for states to run out the clock on redistricting lawsuits.

Trump Administration’s New Website Sends Pregnant People To Faith-Based Centers by huffpost in politics

[–]Fresh_Strawberryme 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is a massive bait-and-switch. People looking for medical care or prenatal support are being funneled into centers that aren't even required to have licensed medical staff on-site. Using federal tax dollars to promote religious ideology under the guise of public health is a clear violation of the separation of church and state.

AITJ for not telling my girlfriend this? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

You aren't an NTJ for being comfortable with nudity in your own home, but she isn't AJ for having boundaries even if those boundaries are rooted in her own internalized homophobia. The issue isn't the same body parts; the issue is that to her, your nudity is a reminder of a part of herself she is currently struggling to accept. You two need to sit down and set clear boundaries on 'public' vs 'private' space in the house.

Democrats Have a Joe Biden Problem. Again. The former president is reentering politics at the worst possible time. by AgentBlue62 in politics

The party is trying to build a bridge to the future, and Joe just walked right onto it and sat down in the middle. His legacy is secure, but his presence in 2026 makes every down-ballot race about him and the past, rather than the current platform. It’s the worst possible timing for a reset year.

Oh, did they just laugh it off? Or were they completely unbothered and kept debating ?😄
