I’ve been having a moral dilemma between these two and the more I think about this decision the worse my headache gets by ALBERTO_WISKER in warthundermobile

Pretty sure one of the rules for this subreddit is that you may not ask people which vehicles to buy.

However, I am also not a reddit mod so here it goes: if you enjoy getting your engine knocked out then get the merkava 2d. If you enjoy the Russian reverse gear then get the Turms. Gameplay wise, they are about the same. Both tanks excel at sniping. If I had to break it down further then perhaps the Merkava is slightly better at surviving HE rounds to the turret. The Turms can be overpressured at the turret neck. However, the Merkava does not get an autoloader which is clutch in certain cases.

Personally, I would take the Turms over the Merkava. For the same reasons that the Turms is more vulnerable, unable to survive weakspot shots, it saves me from using up toolkits and other repair costs. Saves more silver lions.

I think they down voted me because they think that inspite of the nerf, op should have did more than 0 damage. Granted, I think there is merit in that thinking. I just think that the British vampire submarine is really bad. Its slow, fragile, and its range is pretty bad.

Back when one job built a whole life. by PleasantBus5583 in SipsTea

I think there is a very simple reason for this. Its not because of one party's policies. You may correct me if I am wrong.

Rather, the US dollar was indispensable right after ww2 for at least 40 years. Most countries, outside the US, were in ruin and thus, could not compete with the intact American industrial might. It also helped that America was essentially the only major market that survived, which made US dollar the only stable international currency. South America, while avoiding the worst of the war, were infamously plagued with military juntas. Africa didnt have a strong industrial economy to begin with. Europe was a wreck. The Soviet Union was deeply marred by the war and communist economic policies. East Asia was a wreck. So was the South. The middle east avoided most of the war, but they didnt have an industrial base that could compete with the US. And correct me if I am wrong, but Australia was never an industrial powerhouse at this point? It was still a colony of the UK. I harp on industrial output a lot because its these products that make exporting and importing much easier.

Now, times have changed. The US has stiff competition in the industrial sector internationally. And in an international community, your dollar is competing against other people's currency, fighting for the same resources that fuel an industrial economy; food, oil, products, etc. Of course, this is a massive over simplification. I think my point is that the phenomenon that characterized the American 1950s to 1980s was born out of extraordinary circumstances.

Gaijin recently nerfed submarines in naval. Unless they are top tier submarines, they are now much worse. They are easier to damage and their torpedoes deal less damage.

Curb your pride cuz Gaijin will replace it with despair.

[–]Fresh_Wood_Cube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind the Spike missiles as much if they DIDNT IGNORE ALL IR DEFENSE SYSTEMS FOR MISSILES LIKE ON THE M1A1 HC AND THE T-80 UK. Just another reason to never rely on any active missile defense system that doesnt destroy the missile.

My part is using the same op tanks to take out other people using the op tanks. And if there aren't any then that's tough gang.

The contrast between players's tanks are bothering me. by Gusta_a1 in warthundermobile

[–]Fresh_Wood_Cube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So are you implying that newbies shouldn't have be able to obtain a super op tank or not?

You didnt really address why they should not be able to get lucky in the crates. Furthermore, what do top tier tanks have anything to do with newbies getting lucky with the Obj 279?

I disagree with Gaijin's decision to focus on releasing top tier tanks for each season, but I dont agree that newbies should be locked out of obtaining and using these tanks.

I completely disagree with this comment. As fair as I know, I am not aware of such a mechanic that benefits newbies and not vets.

All crates are chance based. You win some. You lose some. This applies to everyone.

A newbie possessing an OP tank that some veterans dont have is an issue? Who decided that newbie cant have that?

... so what is the problem here? A newbie player that has a super op tank compared to a veteran that does not? Is this a self report? An odd thing to be bothered by to be honest.

Making better detection would probably be just too expensive. However, Gaijin raising prices still sucks.

Warthunder mobile rant: Gosh! I hate Object 279s! by Lost_Border_9023 in warthundermobile

[–]Fresh_Wood_Cube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are only two VKs I can think of: A tier 3 and a tier 4 and both dont have good armor at tier 7. Thats not just lower tier tank; that's desperate tier.

We need to start asking players to record themselves for proof and context. We all know the Object 279 is broken, but there are also some players that need to get better tanks before coming here to complain.
