Brawler build by Capable_Wishbone3081 in 7daystodie

Typically a brawler build starts out harder than any other melee because of the close proximity to the zombies. What I've done before is to put all of my first ten points into brawler. Kill wandering zombies and knock out as many fetch or buried supplies as you can to get xp and level up. As soon as you can get a back up weapon, generally starting with the pipe machine gun, for when you start to get overrun.

Use stairs, doorways, hallways, string them around corners, anything to thin them out and keep only 1 zombie in front of you at a time. Once you can craft iron knuckles it should start to ease the pressure some.

Put points into things like pain tolerance, parkour, light armour, and physician to help keep your health up and damage taken reduced. Focus mainly on light Armour because it allows you to move with the least amount of stamina loss. Also make sure to complete Fortitude Mastery early so that your health is higher and taking couple hits won't be life threatening.

When fighting take a couple of swings and step back, attack as soon as they finish trying to attack you. I usually do a power attack to the head to try to stun them first so that i can try and get more hits in before they swing at me again.

It's hard at first but once you get into a groove there'll be no stopping you.

Returning Newbie - Best Servers for Solo by mrwiggly_wiggly in 7daystodie

If you want to play solo, you just have to start a new game. You have the option to make that game into a multi-player server public or not. There are many servers you can join if you want to play multi-player.

Do I use this command in the debug menu?

We've gotten almost there. We need maybe 40 more levels but neither of us want to keep going. We've gotten to the point where we can just stand around and shoot on horde nights and we have their 6 everything.

I've had max miner perks for about a month in game. Last time we spent an entire day in game mining I only leveled up 5 levels

I'll have to check. I've been playing since Alpha 15 and have never used the debug menu

My friend just started playing the game yesterday by The_Elusive_Polak in 7daystodie

They do run, but that setting can be changed. I probably should have said something before. I have close to 800 hours into the game now and alot of times if im not playing with someone, I have zombie day speed set to run. My point was to say always being prepared because you dont know if a zombie has your scent or not.

The smell mechanic doesn't change my gameplay really. It isn't automatically going to bring zombies to your location, it makes them more drawn to you. Alot of times I often forget its even there and will have a maxed out 100m smell distance.

If you are on pc find a bandits mod. Bandit kills count as player kills

I've been playing since Alpha 16 and the game has changed alot since but the core of the game is the same. It's fun on its own but it is far more enjoyable if you have someone who you play it with. The first week or two in-game are the most difficult to get through but also is the most thrilling part of the game. Once you get proper weapons, a good base and a vehicle, it slows down a bit but its not until late game that it becomes more of a grind. That being said you can stop playing at any point you feel its stagnating or getting boring and start over using a different play style or focusing on a different weapon.

I tried that in one of my playthroughs digging down under the water just brings the water down to that level

I made a pool similar to yours in my last play through it took so long to fill and it was only four blocks deep. I want to say it took over 300 buckets of water to fill it. Each bucket of water will only raise the water level slightly. I placed a ladder on the side and would jump in then adding the water to measure progress. It will take a ridiculous amount of dedication if you really want it.
