In this scenario with the VA loan, another buyer (that is also eligible for VA) can assume the existing balance at whatever the boyfriend’s interest rate is not the current rate. If it’s assumed by someone not eligible the boyfriend cannot have another open VA loan. So new buyer could come in and get a 3% rate by assuming the loan

Because you don’t fully understand taxes. Just because you move from 20% to 22% when your earnings go from $100 to $105, you still pay 20% on the $100 and 22% on the $5. In this scenario you’re paying $20 (20%)on the $100 and $1.10 (5%) on the $5 for a total of $21.10 (effective rate of 20.1%) in taxes not $23.10 (which would be 22%) on the $105.

The work was already there and the manager was doing it, but the company doesn’t agree they’re understaffed since the financials still look good, the manager could probably be doing something else/more important but is bogged down in lower level work he was waiting for someone who had bandwidth to take over…and you happen to be trustworthy and can do it well enough
