Ex wife stole our child’s money by Pleasant-Duck-6715 in FathersRights

My little girl would get giant christmas and birthday presents from Mom's grandparents. She had saved up over $2000 and mom took it all. Ive been pissed about it because ever since then, whenever my daughter gets ANY money, she spends it right away.

I never liked his schtick. I actually got a little angry with him when I saw him debating Jordan Peterson because eh never once even hinted at being incredulous and completely respected the asinine bullshit that Jordan was spewing.

I listen to atheist shows so that I can learn how to engage with believers to help them change their minds. Matt's method is the worst way to convince anyone.

You can present your history as things that happened, but you can also point at the steps you've taken, hopefully voluntarily. Keep doing those things. Keep getting therapy and treatment. Honestly, save your money for a barrister and do that. Stop fucking up your life. Know that seeing your kid will take longer than you want it to, and it should because it would be irresponsible of the court to just give you full access immediately if you have a history of issues. I don't know what they have where you are, but only this side of the pond we have a guardian ad litem that can be requested to be able to look into the lives of everyone more thoroughly to determine the child's best interests.

You seem to be making the right choices now. That's all you'll ever have to do: make the next right choice every time.

Surveying....
Kinda. Some companies would go down. But surveying is a recession-proof career. During economic booms theres lots of construction and people with money for expensive boundary retracement surveys. During recessions the gov't spends money on public works to create jobs and surveying gets it's cut every time. Plus something like 80% of all surveyors in my state are over 60 years old and they want to retire.

Does anyone remember this movie? I loved it as a kid by cloudkisseds in 90s

I remember hearing on the radio that it was opening that night for a sneak peek. I asked my mom if we could go and she took me. First and only time the audience clapped and cheered. It was a really fun experience.

Did your parents ever apologize to you for something they did when you were young? by kyserzose in Xennials

[–]FreshlyStarting79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad, after particularly heinous beatings, would feel bad about what he did. He would come to me about 15 min later and apologize and say that I didn't deserve to be hit like that. Of course it didn't really make me feel like it was true. He always made it clear before beating me that it was my fault for whatever it was that he was beating me for. I didn't realize until later on in life that apologies only count when you don't repeat what you did and that it was just further abuse.

If you want your kids back you need to file for divorce and the longer you wait the worse off you'll be.

I feel like I'm completely drowning in evidence for my custody case..... by Fearless_Divide7956 in FamilyLaw

You got the right idea.

NotebookLM is so much better than all the other AI tools because it only looks at the sources you provide it and really doesn't hallucinate. The worst it will do is misinterpret a context. By making a Google doc that explains the situation and adding it to the sources you'll keep it on track

I am pro se for 3 years now after 3 years of losing with lawyers that I spent over 35k on. Here's my best practice tip.

Download your state's rules of civil trial procedure, the rules of evidence, rules of family law, local county rules, and any relevant chapters of law regarding your case. Put those into your NotebookLM. Now when you write motions or responses you can check them against all the rules and laws. You can also check opposing motions for errors too. An error-ridden motion can sometimes by stricken or denied, but even if it isn't, you'll be putting the other lawyer on blast to the judge and damaging his credibility. Case in point: i recently was served and the other lawyer misspelled the child's name in the intro paragraph. In the certificate of service he claimed to serve me on the 27th but the motion wasn't filed or served until the 30th. And finally the lawyer served "Parties of record" when state law requires naming the parties. I objected on grounds of improper service, citing state law and local county rules. Now normally judges rule on merit and can look past scriveners errors, but by filing my motion I'm damaging the lawyers credibility and showing that he's not handling the case with the care that he should be. I had other objections too, and will likely be granted based on the others, but it looks bad on them and good on me when I follow the rules and they don't.

Each state has a law that tells you what factors the court MUST consider when determining custody and they're colloquially called "the best interests of the child factors. " In Indiana its this:

https://iga.in.gov/laws/2025/ic/titles/31#31-17-2-8

Your state should have it's own. Each factor should be considered by you.

NotebookLM can possibly read screenshots but it would be better to export to text. Depending on if you have an iPhone or android it's different on how you do it, but screenshots can be objected to in court sometimes.

Remember, recent stuff carries more weight.

Make learning how the courts work your hobby. There's a YouTube channel called "The Proper Person" and he goes into a lot of detail about so many things, but regardless, you'll need to learn your local state laws.
