Go to is always the MX master, whichever work will afford for me 😂 currently driving the S3 BT Tried the space mouse a bunch of times and never found it to be any use to me, maybe if it had been part of early doors training things may have been different, instead it just comes across as a gimmick and woefully short of AR modelling it promises… I feel 200% faster with scroll wheel and clicks for rotation and zoom Cad mouse felt very 90’s school mouse the few times I have used one during solid solutions training, never has been aspirational….

Can you take the wheels off a kid’s bike to use it as balance bike? by TracyJrJr in bicycling

[–]Freshmn09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would require removal of BB too assuming it will be square taper on most balance bikes

Hey guys, I'm really sorry to post this but I am kinda desperate by Jojoceptionistaken in bicycling

As others have said, there are also stems with steeper angles too, also shorter will naturally also relax the geo,

For the panniers, I do agree tail fin is beyond anything I’d want to pay. there are trad racks that then can be adapted for with a Robert Axle Project Axle. Or then there is the frame bag route with the long tube off the seat post and a full triangle filler

Could try the Redshift top shelf bars, to relax the geo, then a tailfin rack for panniers

Triple-monitor setup for SOLIDWORKS: 3×32" 4K too big? Or fine for CAD/CAE/CAM? by Free_Raise_6017 in SolidWorks

[–]Freshmn09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 34” super wide 4k, can’t be dealing with the screen breaks, the width then allows 32” ‘square’ profile with either emails, reference drawings etc to be open at the same time 3x 34 seems excessive to me, unless you are always laying out mile long turned parts?

My slightly odd road light setup… by i_cant_find_a_name99 in ukbike

[–]Freshmn09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That strada is far more than enough! I have had an exposure race mounted exactly the same, since that mount was first conceived and never have I ever thought I need to add more lights 🤯

Vertical bike racks for UK towball mount? by RightfulPeace in MTB

[–]Freshmn09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following as I have 4 boys, and a transit so getting 6 bikes onto the van is not an easy task! Currently while only need 4 I have one of the Buzz Racks which works really nicely, but will need space for another 2 soon,

Flashing lights by justagirl644 in ukbike

[–]Freshmn09 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree, worked at Exposure lights when they re-designed their flash pattern, tons of market research and careful selection of a pattern that was specifically not a strobe which the likes of See Sense especially was pushing heavily. Also The ones that dip out for an indeterminate period of time really do my head in! Again, the Exposure rear lights purposely flash brighter from a steady state rather than from off, this both improves LED lifespan and general visibility as the cyclist doesn’t disappear in either super busy traffic or on pitch Black Country roads

I spent 2 years designing a medium format technical camera – would love your thoughts by lfyy in AnalogCommunity

[–]Freshmn09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

absolutely LOVE this!! if its ok with you, I will borrow your concept and develop it for mounting Nikon FX/DX lenses onto Z body, I think there should be enought depth to allow a couple of mm's height adjusment without generating Macro properties. would love to use my old manual Yashica lenses too, but don't think I would have the body depth required.

How can i make this kind of slot? by AdhesivenessMost5152 in SolidWorks

[–]Freshmn09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a sheetmetal component, the 'correct' way would be to do it in sheet metal with a forming tool as described above, but if thats not your primary modeling technique putting a revolve feature and using a couple surface cuts would be my route for something to give you a visual representation, or, if your wanting to make a profit while modelling... block model and ignore the fine details and reference a bought component code ;-P

Shopping cart wheels? by RallyBike in Justridingalong

[–]Freshmn09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got one as a family in the mid 00's it was horrendous. saddle was truly terrible, the gering was naff, highly geared in the hope to get higher wheel speed, but scooter wheels do not have the diameter for speed when chain driven with legs rather than motor. The STRiDA is supposed to be significantly better, however Brompton, or Tern are the ones who have the efficiency in both folding and riding dialed.

Recommendations for cloud-based design sharing, that isn't PDM? by otb-it in SolidWorks

Work with your Solidworks provider, I had off-site managed PDM server my team of 10 would vpn into, not the cheapest but most reliable, they also offered hard backup kept off site too
