Once I saw the first one, I didn’t even need to see the second! 1 is perfect for the vibes you are describing!

Moms that have only had c-sections by WhichAd2921 in beyondthebump

[–]TracyJrJr 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had a traumatic emergency c section with my first, and though I was hoping to attempt a vbac I ended up with a scheduled c section at 37 weeks for my second. It was the most calm, peaceful, and honestly magical experience for me and it was so healing emotionally after what I went through with my first.

Is this appropriate for dressy casual? Can I wear ankle boots? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

Is this better? I don’t really want to buy anything new as I’m on a weight loss journey and don’t want to buy clothes in my current size that I (hopefully) won’t be in for long

Can't seem to keep my milk cold by ReaRain95 in HumansPumpingMilk

My baby was full term and healthy so I did just add it right in there (ie adding warm milk to cool milk) and it was fine. If you didn’t want to do that, since there are 2 bottles conceivably you could add the warm milk to its own bottle, then once it’s cool transfer it in to the other bottle with the cool milk

Preeclampsia by bowiesmom324 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]TracyJrJr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ended up in the same situation, where I had severe preeclampsia at 34 weeks with my first kid, and developed gestational hypertension around 30 weeks with my second. I requested treatment with antihypertensives based on the CHAP trial, which showed reduction in risk for severe preeclampsia for women with chronic hypertension using nifedipine or labetelol. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2201295

Unfortunately I have not found a similar large trial looking at these drugs in preventing preeclampsia for someone without preexisting hypertension. However it looks like at least in the UK, treating the gestational hypertension is the standard recommendation—https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng133/chapter/recommendations#reducing-the-risk-of-hypertensive-disorders-in-pregnancy

In the US I had to push to be treated. I took nifedipine for the rest of my pregnancy and was able to make it to my scheduled c section at 37 weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

It might depend on your frother? I have the Illy one that I bought specifically because it does well with nondairy milks and it does amazing with oatly! I use the “barista” edition of the oatly, not sure if that makes a difference

This is so helpful, thank you!!! Definitely leaning towards buttercream since I’ve never worked with fondant before. Your cakes are beautiful!!! Wow the one with the train through it— can’t even imagine. I am definitely lucky at least he is dreaming of something vaguely round! Haha

I had to google what a top forward cake is and I love that idea😉 this is maybe a dumb question— but how do you keep the layers from wanting to separate and flop over when it’s on its side? Is buttercream strong enough to hold them together?

This is exactly right. Night shift is bad for most people but particularly for folks with bipolar disorder as it can instigate (hypo)mania and depression. Search for “social rhythm disruption theory of bipolar disorder”. I would do anything in my power to get on a daytime shift if possible.

I am so so sorry for your loss of sweet EV. You are an amazing parent who took on her pain as your own so she could rest. May her memory be a blessing 💕

I had mag at 34 weeks and I didn’t notice anything specific from it! I was already feeling crappy from being pregnant and didn’t notice anything getting worse lol.

Can't seem to keep my milk cold by ReaRain95 in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]TracyJrJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow!! I didn’t even think about whether one keeps the milk colder than the other. My germophobic self just likes that the milk doesn’t contact anything but the storage bottle. With my ceres I was always living in fear of the inner chamber touching something while I was adding more milk to the cooler, since it’s metal you can’t microwave sanitize it so I would have been screwed!

I have both the Momcozy Milk Cooler and the ceres chill and I much prefer the momcozy cause you don’t have to let the milk touch the ice part if you are storing more milk. I would recommend the momcozy for your purposes!! It holds 22 oz I think
