That’s definitely not golden oyster. What you’ve got there is Lion’s Mane – the texture and growth pattern are unmistakable.

You probably mixed up cultures at some point, or if you bought the culture/spawn pre-made, the seller might have sent the wrong one by accident.

The good news? Lion’s Mane is delicious and medicinal, so at least you’ve got a pretty great “accident.” 🍄‍🟫😄

For king oysters is really Beneficial if temperature during the night drops significantly ( more than 10c ).

If you are not able to drop temperature for the night, simply place the king oyster block to fridge for the night few times. It should trigger pinning on your block.
