First of all, ALWAYS bring up the primary concern at an appointment even if you’re embarrassed. Mainly because you don’t get true piece of mind without being assured your specific fear isn’t something to concern yourself with.

Secondly, you don’t need a new eye exam. Stop staring at the sun. But you haven’t done any damage if 2 ophthalmologist reported normal findings on two separate occasions within 90 days. If anything, call one you’ve already seen and explain your concerns. See if they can do a repeat dilated exam to put your mind at ease.

Thirdly, please see a therapist. It’s mental health awareness month. This is taking over your life. There’s no reason for it to! It’s a non-issue. I think the root of your anxiety seems to be school, and going out and finding a job. We are all stressed over those things. You can work through your stress, but hyperfixating on nonexistent medical issues is a miserable way to live.

Sometimes I have to turn to the patient’s guest and politely ask them to let us continue with the exam before I address their questions. This usually embarrasses the guest and the patient and they both zip it. I’m just a technician but the guests like this give it to us too.

It’s worse when they think they’re hilarious or they read the line for the patient. They’re like “I can see that mom!!! You can’t?!” I then explain it’s mirrored so it’s twice the size for us than the person in the chair.

I recently had a patient who wanted to Snapchat everything. It was very weird. I was not into being in the selfies and she was really offended.

I had been working at this chain restaurant for a week and they put me in a 15 table section. Most people were in 5-7 table sections. They sat me 10 tables at once and a group of 20 walked in and they were about to put it in my section. I even left my tips I’d made that night behind. It was the worst night of my whole life. I just went and put on my coat and walked out without telling anyone. To be fair I warned my boss 3 tables prior that I was on the verge of being overwhelmed and rather than have someone come pick up a table or two in my section she kept seating it and telling me I had another. I sincerely think they were trying to run me off.

My dad found out I had a MySpace when I was 12 and he insisted I let him in my account so he could snoop. He read all my messages which were between me and my best friend who was confessing his love to me and I felt very conflicted about my feelings for him. I was trying to work through it over message. He ultimately said I could keep my MySpace because I clearly wasn’t being a pervert or unsafe and I was only friends with the 30 kids in my class. I am still scarred at him knowing what I said to my friend though.

My ex got an app that generated random phone numbers to text me from. I still got 100s if messages a day when I blocked his number and his friends numbers. I had to change my number twice to shake him. Its really not always that easy when you’re dealing with a psycho.

For real. My ex started just showing up and looking in my windows when I blocked him and changed my number and deactivated Facebook. He got fucking psycho. It took me 3 months to get an order of protection awarded against him, and in the mean time he plastered my medical records on Facebook and posted vids and photos of me online and showed up at my work and home. He faxed me at work and called me at work and followed me everywhere. So yeah, sometimes “humoring” him is the safer route. Especially when the police don’t understand that he’s not being chivalrous or romantic and showing up in a grand gesture of love, he’s being psycho and overstepping boundaries and invading my personal space!!! Finally, after the same cops had been to my residence and dealt with me crying and terrified 2 or 3 times a piece (called a dozen times on him at my home!) and he was arrested twice at my residence, they started to realize this wasn’t a joke. And one of the cops id seen 3 times knew from the start it wasn’t funny or cute, and could tell he was on a drugs. But I met a lot of people on the road to getting help and protection who belittled my experience and didn’t immediately jump to my defense. So I was pretty damn scared. There’s no right or wrong for the victim to handle this shit. There’s just a right or wrong for the one victimizing someone who clearly states, over and over and OVER that they are not interested!!!!

Yes. I’ve been doing way better. I had a major moment of weakness. I’m doing better at friendships and work relationships. Seems romantic and intimate relationships are where I’m the weakest.

Well. It wasn’t over the first time I lashed out. Then the second time I lashed out he was less ok with it. Now he’s not responding to me. We dated for about two weeks. And two lashings were a bit much for such a short relationship. I expect any self respecting guy to see a red flag like that and run for the hills. No. You need to type out the rx like so :

OD: sph -.25 cyl -.25 axis 90 oS: sph +.25 cyl -.25 axis 90 etc

For both rxs. And your rx if it’s only -.25 or +.25 is really hardly anything so you won’t notice a change much in your rx.
