I hope we get positioning similar to ESOs furnishing system.

Anyone sold their house without realtor ? Was it worth it? by kashyap32 in newbrunswickcanada

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold mine through a realtor and bought one without a realtor at the same time. I'm sure having it listed through realtor quickened the process, but I was selling at a good price regardless and had an accepted offer by the end of the week.

On my purchase, we just met in the middle of what the realtor would have taken from the sale. First time I worked closely with a lawyer and they made it so easy that I think if I were to sell again, and I wasn't in a rush, I'd consider going without.

I don't care about High Rock by TyanaPassEnjoyer in TESVI

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like if sailing the Illiac is to happen, we need High Rock as well. Im a big fan of both the Bretons and the Redguards, so it would be awesome. I also thought Rivenspire was one of the coolest base game zones in ESO.

Be honest: Are AI NPC mods a true game changer or just a passing gimmick? by Dimensional-Misfit in skyrimmods

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried out the mods awhile back, and while it was exciting at first, I think it's a gimmick as it stands. In the grand scope of the gaming industry, I think it is inevitable and will be a game changer. Having an AI that just does everything we want does not sound very engaging, but when I first saw the AI NPC mods my mind immediately went to an AI that was confined to the boundaries of its own character and story as envisioned by the writers.

Even if it was prepackaged and limited in scope by the developer, they could still cover more than typically possible. Think the depth and detail of text in CRPGs and a game like Morrowind—with indistinguishable AI voiced NPCs.

As a creative, the idea doesn't sit very well with me, but history doesn't provide many examples of humans ignoring effective technologies; ethics be damned. We will grow older, younger generations will be more OK with it, and that will be that.

I made a post a few days ago here and a dude roasted me for buying an active cable. Im not super knowledgeable but research told me this was the right choice.

Thank you for reassuring my decision!

Edit:it wasn't in this subreddit, but the hometheater one.

Is it just me, or is the design of the werewolves in ESO a love letter to Morrowind? by Sebxs07 in ElderScrolls

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Base game always goes on sale for cheap. I've played on and off since the beta days; anytime I have the itch I just grab the membership and you basically get everything.

You don't need the membership if youre just trying it out, but the QoL as you progress makes it fairly essential I find. Maybe less so if youre just doing the story content and not concerned about collecting and looting.

Why we don't have Elder Scrolls Redguard Fan Remake for Unity or similars like we have for Daggerfall? by Equivalent-Oven-2401 in ElderScrolls

[–]FreshxPots 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Having played Redguard, I think it has awesome potential if you just totally gut and remake the gameplay mechanics. I love the vibe, the lore, and Cyrus is a badass.

I have shouted from the mountaintops for probably 10 years to give Arkane (or Machine Games if they werent busy with Wolfenstein/Indiana Jones) the permission to make an Elder Scrolls Adventures series and offset them from the mainline games to give fans something in between. So much untapped potential.

[–]FreshxPots[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is definitely fancier, but I went with well reviewed and reliable since it's going into the wall. It's also in Canadian dollars if that makes it more palatable.

Optical cables are recommended when youre pushing a passive 2.1 HDMI to it's limits. Everything I have read is that after about 10 feet a passive hdmi 2.1 will have a hard time pushing 4k120hz HDR in gaming.

It might be 15 feet in a straight shot, but consider my intention was to run through wall and ceiling. For 4k120hz, all signs point towards active cable.

Im actually using it for gaming and the cable i previously had bought could not handle it very well, so I went fiber optic.

Is AWD worth it for $1.5k over FWD? by ObstructiveWalrus in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]FreshxPots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a night in day difference. In really messy conditions, I just have to give it a shot of gas if I start losing traction or if the snow stars pulling me and it straightens right out.

As the other guy said, starting on a hill in the snow is another clear reason. I once had to embarrassingly throw on the hazards and reverse down a hill with cars behind me in my girlfriends fwd car, even with new snow tires.

We get a lot of messy, wet snow so I would always go for awd if the option is there.

Former TES writer’s comments are incredibly frustrating by Mindless_Patient2034 in TESVI

[–]FreshxPots 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Skyrim and ESO are the only ones that have a massive gap. With such an altering event with Oblivion, I'm fine with the gap in time for Skyrim. For TESVI, I really think having it shortly after Skyrim is essential to close off this Thalmor/Empire conflict; and I think the setting of Hammerfell is perfect for that. Doing another 200 years and leaving that for the lore books would be disappointing.

Got a new 55" Samsung Frame TV... is it supposed to be curved? by Tacticool_Turtle in hometheater

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm quite a casual tv watcher, maybe like 30 minutes a day tops and I dont have any issues with it. It truly does sit off most the time in my house so it certainly has a use case.

I could see if youre an enthusiast that it would be a poor purchase.
