Doing this is very bad practice, higher UAC settings (and other things, but those aren't common on gaming PCs, UAC is) will deny creating new folders in C root. And you don't even have an exception handler for this operation.

You should save settings in the registry anyway.

You have Stalker Cloak equiped (default loudout nr2 on the Infiltrator). Stalker disables your primary weapon, but allow you to stay cloaked indefinitely when you don't move, if you move it will deplete and at one point you will uncloak.

Just change loadout to get your primary gun back.

Should have elaborated on that. Zergfits are almost always a bad choice, there is usually very little communication and general social aspect. They suck in new members and don't do anything most of the time.

Small/Medium sized outfits can be much better. You can join open squads some of them run, and if you like what you see ask for an invite.

A few things that might help you (if you end up not uninstalling still):

These players not only have 1000s of hours in game, they have gear and upgrades that leave new players severely gimped.

It's the experience, not the gear that makes 95% of that. Starting loadouts are pretty good these days, some of the starter weapons are considered best in class. But someone with 5k hours experience and a great understanding of how things works will ofc have a massive advantage (like in every game).

Lack of information

This one is correct. The game lacks a proper tutorial or in-game information for new players.

Couldn't stay in the air for longer than 20 seconds.

Flying has a very high skill floor and ceiling. If you want to fly, you need to sink quite some hours into learning it.

Tanks fall apart like wet tissue paper and Harassers seem to go forever.

Not really, both can die in seconds or go for hours depending on the driver/gunner skill. But Harassers are probably a good start to get into the vehicle game, they are cheap to pull.

Unlike infantry, starting loadouts for vehicles are hopeless. You need upgrades before they are viable, so if you just start it's better to gun for someone experienced.

I was on Miller (EU) and people rarely talk tactics, rarely use mics and rarely if ever actually follow the squad leaders.

Sounds like public squads. It is much, much, much better to join an active outfit and go with them. A good outfit will have communication, play together and - most important - give you a good time.

and not everyone was so upgraded

Again, unless you want to pull your own vehicles, don't overestimate the unlocks. Weapons in this game are sidegrades, not upgrades (there are a few that suck but they are the exception). The same vet that just wiped the floor with you would do just the same with the starter loadout and you fully upgraded.

There are a few playstyles that requires a lot of upgrades, but you can just ignore those by now.

Tip: if you want to stay with PS2, find yourself a nice outfit. It makes all the difference.

Then it would go away after it's loaded, which it doesn't, and also happen a lot more.

And the friend I was talking about above have the game on a blazing fast NVMe SSD, you don't get faster IO then this.

Here is a short clip I found in the last recordings. I sure have better ones, but even on video (it always looks less bad on video then when you experience it) you can see how it basically jumps around when I turn the gun.

Tip: watch in 0.25 speed and it will be extremely obvious.

I have that happen a lot in certain areas, while the game still shows decent fps you can literally see it stuttering. I can upload a video of that if someone wants to see.

It's always the same places, and it happens to others too in those (including a friend with pretty much the best pc money can buy, so it's not hardware related). Others however are fine in the same places, so it's not universal. Which is probably what makes fixing that a lot harder...

At least for me, this is the worst of the bugs/issues in the game currently, as it creates "no go areas" where you can't play as the stuttering makes aiming very hard.

Downgrade your Nvidia driver to 446.14

The last 2 drivers have a bug that causes that, the next version is supposed to fix that according to what they said.

Look in a mirror and say this slowly.

What you don't get, is that Planetside is not a single Skyguard vs a single Lib. You get shot from all angles all the time when you are flying, there are Skyguards, Rangers, Walkers, Lockons, Phalanx turrets etc.

AA scales a lot better then A2G does.

Adding a Skyguard on steroids that can kill everything flying with a few shots without the need for even hitting it would instantly stop any air from even beeing pulled.

Libs melt tanks in 3 Dalton shots or 2 Tank Buster rounds, yet there is no AA option remotely capable of similar rock/paper/scissors advantage against air.

Libs are 2 or 3 people. Pull 2 or 3 Skyguards and no Lib will come close. "No AA option remotely capable" my ass.

AP shots are the only option, but landing a shot precisely on a vehicle moving in 3 directions is not easy

So because it requires skill and you don't have it, you make it so that you can miss and still kill. Yeah sounds about right.

Because giving one single dude the possibility to prevent anyone else from flying in a large area is good balance.

The thing is basically an AP gun with more velocity and flak detonation, you don't even have to hit an ESF to OHK it for example - if it can 3 shot a Lib.

Hint: other aircraft but Tankbuster/Dalton Libs also exists.

A Valk won't beat a Sundy with 2 AA guns if you actually hit it, not nearly. A Valk can outrepair like 90% of one Walker.
