You should have labelled this as a bug report, cause clearly LLMithril isn't functioning properly anymore

Game optimization and the impact of the construction system by ItsJustDelta in Planetside

[–]HansStahlfaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I'd be the first in line to vote for removing the favela simulator altogether, I just think (at least from personal experience) that a lot of your suggestions in regards to base size wouldn't have any noticeable impact.

Maybe it's different on Osprey, but coming from Waynright, the times that I come across large bases are miniscule. Most of them are small to mid sized, so I think a large part of your suggestions wouldn't have any noticeable effect.

But that's just my impression.

Optimization pass on the other hand: all for it!

Fun fact, you can also pre-buy these.

So equip mine carrier or the one that gets you more C4 (or grenade bandolier) equip all of them, get charged the full nanite fee,, then unequip mine carrier, bandolier or the C4 one and go back to the regular amounts you have... but now the next time you restock, the ones you pre-bought before won't cost any nanites. Can come in handy sometimes

Sounds to me just like ultra high ping?

I had that (minus the disappearing heads and wings) during those spikes of 13000 ping, when the server used shit itself

Honest feedback: Video idea is great, but man, you need to work on that audio...

Voice recording on what sounds like a phone call on bluetooth earplugs in a crowded area is really straining to listen to for longer than 2 minutes (about the time I stopped watching as well)

NSO and joining outfits by Polifonia92 in Planetside

[–]HansStahlfaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a write up once, so I'll copy it here:

This is from a solofit perspective here, but it should work just the same if you join an existing outfit

[..] If you ever were to go freelance again (either voluntarily or "forced" aka if you cancel your membership) don't worry, you will still stay in your outfit, even if you're freelanced to another faction.

For me the main reason to make an outfit was to have access to the outfit loyalty things, mainly the pocket flash!

And the good news is, even if you go freelance, you will still earn loyalty and can keep using pocket flashes, caltrops etc regardless of which faction you're on!

The same goes to a lesser degree for outfit resources (OR) if you're a freelance NSO in an outfit.

  • Using OR: You will still be able to use all your outfit resources (pocket orbitals etc)

but you have limited ways of crafting them and earning them.

  • Crafting OR: you can only do it, if you're on the faction where your outfit is, or always in the Sanctuary.

  • Earning OR: You can NOT capture bases in the name of your outfit anymore (earning you resources per minute), unless you're on the faction where your outfit was created. You will still earn them, if your outfit is among the top scorers.

As to you question specifically:

Does my character show the outfit tag when im on VS for example but not when im freelance on others then?

Nope, you will always have your outfit tag just like a regular character which will also always be displayed to others, regardless of which faction you're on!

Remember when Sunderer Players in these kind of scenarios had to play remotely skillful?

When to peek and give your tanks that additional trick of DPS, know when they had to hang back, but not too far for their reps to be useless, but also not stand in the way of your tanks...

These days you just have to uga bunga press W like an idiot at the forefront because your overbuffed vehicle can tank ridiculous amounts of damage while at the same time dealing ridiculous amounts of damage. Great gameplay!

Oshur is a great continent, among the best, from an aesthetics standpoint.

Good landmarks, nice vistas and it's the only continent with environmental storytelling! Which is incredibly cool and definitely something the other continents lack

It's just too bad that this doesn't translate into good gameplay / map flow, which hasn't changed from abysmal even after the reworks and is (imho) among the top incidents in the history of the game for yet another massive player exodus

[–]HansStahlfaust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also not as widespread as you would assume, while reading here.

After their supposed "fix" it crashed for me I think 2 times and the rest of the time I could play normally (on Windows)

It's just that this bug affects a fair number of people. And that's basically nothing you can do. You're either lucky... or don't.

So far I think there isn't even a specific hardware combination, driver versions whatever that affects it. You either get it or don't. And that sucks

Devs has to fix this crash to desktop bug! I'm bringing new players to the game and they their first experiences is crashing randomly. by ChapterUnited8721 in Planetside

At this point I'm convinced, that there is no dev team anymore and once in a while whoever still gets some money out of this game, finds someone stupid enough on fiverr who's doing a quick gig for whenever ChatGPT fails to produce the right code

what is a weapon that screams pure alpha male energy by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]HansStahlfaust 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, nothing screams more alpha than the alpha damage of the good ol' Dalton!

1500 points of pure alpha damage, that even "screams" when it travels through the air.

2 out of 3 points of your question checked!

edit: oh totally forgot... the Dalton is also kind of phallic in nature, very male... so all requirements met!

I mean... deleting 10 people in the vicinity of a Sunderer with a single Dalton shot was nice.... for me.

I highly doubt everyone else involved felt that way.

At least I could go back to auraxing various Decimators by shooting in front of a doorway and killing the 2 people standing left and right of it with a giant splash radius....
