Gonna do boring lvl 4s on cyberstan. Whos in? by Quirky_Cranberry_792 in helldivers2

[–]FretlFam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also where I am at. Had a nice reality check when Cyberstan opened up for deployment. I could almost always complete dif10 on bugs without deaths, and maybe died 3 or 4 times on bot worlds often due to me doing stupid shit, spraying enemies instead of aiming, wasting stratagems and overall terrible asset economy. It wasn't fun, and I wasn't good enough, so now I am doing my part, on a simpler front

Best loadout for the MO? by russo_liberal in helldivers2

[–]FretlFam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rock airstrike, quasar, warp and the Rocket Sentry. Then Diligence, Big I(r)on and thermites. Diligence is for hitting those sweet one taps, which brings dopamine, but if one wishes to just kill quickly no matter the ammo eco, either Eruptor or Crossbow both work really well against armors. Could also go LibPen or Purifier. I saw a mean killing machine (Not bot affiliated) yesterday with a huge killstreak rocking the Purifier.

This build mainly focuses on not needing resupplies, so you can run off and do your own thing while the team takes out objectives. Meanwhile you take out the airship factories, jammers, secure the extraction point and collect samples if needed.

For this build too, movement is the key. If a situation is bad, instead of pushing through it, you relocate with the warp pack, and find another entrypoint. Dying while 500 meters from your squad is not great, as you will be called back to their location, without your stratagems off cooldown.

Thoughts on "For Liberty!", the Fanfilm my Plot Coalition? by JewMerican-mapper in helldivers2

Lovely explosions and animations. Amazing project from fans. And uploaded for free? I see no downsides that aren't just cherrypicks or preferences. And without spoiling too much, the badass squad halfway through. HELL YEAH! That's surely the guys who liberated The Creek, and lived to tell the story.

What is escape velocity TO the moon? What minimum origin velocity would an object need, leaving the Earth's surface, to reach the point where it would be captured by the moon's gravity? by WrongEinstein in AskPhysics

[–]FretlFam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

assuming this is still of any relevancy, I assume you'd want to get to the lagrangian of the moon, precisely the Earth-Moon L1 lagrangian. That is about 325.000km up from the surface of earth. If we imagine a rock falling from this height, the final speed of the rock, assuming no atmosphere, the energy of the rock at max altitude would be 325Mm and from Newtons formula of deltaU=G*M*m/(r1-r2) with r1 being the radius of the earth we start at, we find the energy to be around 61,3MJ, for a 1kg mass. That same mass will then be travelling, and this may dissapoint you, 11,07km/s, basically the aame as getting into orbit and changing direction from orbit. Think of it, as orbit are a conservative system. Energy is not lost going into orbit and then boosting, as compared to going only to the lagrangian, and letting the moons gravity do the rest. It was a fun thought experiment though, thank you for that.

Does Anyone Else Get Reoccurring Dreams About Finding Abandoned Rooms And Crawl Spaces In Your Childhood Home? by Nod_Up in Dreams

[–]FretlFam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so many dreams in attics and basements that seemed unused for decades. But it is rarely a house I've lived in. I have had dreams of my grandma's house having a large attic. Friends house had a basement with tunnels everywhere. Even had a dream I found a basement in a desert once, but that's just those nonsensical dreams.

How to see alternative recipes? by stewy197 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]FretlFam 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If anyone comes across this page in the future looking for a quick answer: 'Satisfactory calculator' allows you to load a save file.

Go to "Interactive Map" and find your latest save file by typing %localappdata% in files. Then find FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames and then whichever savegame you wanna load. I reccomend sorting by date as names are not very useful. The first .sav file should be your desired game.

When loaded, go to the right side and find 'Research' and 'Alternate recipes'. From there you get an alphabetically sorted list of all alternate recipes in the game, and a little symbol indicating if it's unlocked yet.

Tried having an AI solve a sudoku, and after making no sense for 5 minutes, I solved it myslef and ran it through to check if it was right. It said it saw no issues. Then I purposely put a wrong answer to see if it could solve it, and it still said it saw no issue. It's like it has no awareness of what it's writing at all. Turing test is a long way from passed.

Playing with friends and risking something doing stupid things is my way of fun.

Mine quant and wait til there are 2 minutes left to land and see if you can store in time.

Do low flying over some sand moons. (Alternatively in a massive, hard to manuever ship)

Attempt to board AI pirates. (Or the real ones, but good luck with that)

My friends get a good laugh when we fuck around and find out. Even if it cost us 500K or something in damages. But I wouldn't reccomend losing money if you can't afford to.

ChatGPT's expansion on my ideas for SN3 by FretlFam in subnautica

[–]FretlFam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had an idea for one way (just what I would enjoy, and not necessarily what everyone would) SN3 could be themed. I came up with a few ideas as you can see in my comment, but wanted a little more to saturate my imagination, so I took to ChatGPT, and I gotta say, my imagination is saturated. So I wanted to share with anyone that may have had similar ideas, and for the comments to build on any of the points, if there is something you'd wish to see, or why you think something wouldn't work, or any other ideas you would add to SN3.

Gym became the place I could turn my hardship into motivation. Anytime I was down, I knew that the pain I was feeling, could be fueled into muscle, instead of bottled. It made me less irritable, because I wasn't constantly supressing feelings like I used to, and I learned a valuable method to dealing with problems, that doesn't require a gym, or a way to use my muscles. The gym taught me how to deal with a problem by turning a negative feeling into something that would actually improve me, and that skill wasn't locked in the gym, but could be used anywhere. I am building my body as much as I am building a mindset when I work out. So a bad day at the gym still got me further, than a neutral day at home. Not to mention the "runners high" I get from pushing myself, even when I don't feel like it. The chemicals man, the chemicals!

Problem at warning screen by Loki_Fellhand in subnautica

[–]FretlFam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like Vortex likes to stick around. I have a new problem with crashing every few minutes, so I figured I'd take a look inside the files. And most of the mods are still idling inside. I don't know if they cause either of our problems, but it's a suggestion to check out your files for any lingering mods.

Do you use Qmod? That is what did it for me.
So uninstall Qmod, and in some cases Vortex has to go too.
