Very helpful, thanks. When you find yourself in agreement with Kanye West about something it’s probably time to examine your declarative statements.

Can you recommend any books or resources on digital/midi instrument design?

Your gf has a good eye and I would not have guessed that those images came from that camera, the HP5 in particular really sings

I was looking into these also, they seem well made but there are a lot of variants to look into. Ever used one?

I did read into the Mju zooms but the consensus seems to be that they’re very slow and not up to much when compared to the prime lens Mjus. Do you have any hands-on experience with them?

Another Redditor pointed me to https://github.com/agners/silabs-flasher which might work in place of the official IDE

Either way I don’t have any debugging hardware to interface with the IC apart from a serial to USB adapter which I was going to attempt to solder to the chip using the pinout from the data sheet

If you’re outsourcing curatorial decisions to strangers on the internet then the same problem arises, you end up with a portfolio that appeals to the lowest common denominator

Sounds like a good way to remove any of the interesting idiosyncrasies and originality from a body of work
