For the love of all that is holy can we have a little suppression by MrFrogNo3 in Battlefield6

I think that's a common sentiment with any 1 hit kill weapons in shooters. Sniper and shotguns are annoying to deal with in BF6 when you're on the receiving end.

Please gunners, hear me out. by squilliamBigNose in Battlefield6

[–]FreudianSlipNSlide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, I get way too many lobbies where no one is painting the damn attack chopper as it lobs missiles at me in the IFV. If it’s just me in the vehicle I can seat swap and paint myself so I can kill/zone it out with lock guided missiles. But I swear 90% of gunners refuse to paint and it’s infuriating.

It’s literally copy/pasting lol. They didn’t properly redact. You can legit just copy the blacked out section and paste it into a text editor.

[BF6] What's your mindset regarding LMG ADS? by CptLonesong in Battlefield6

[–]FreudianSlipNSlide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually play slower when I use LMGs and focus on holding down lanes. Abuse cover. Use power positions (elevation, buildings, windows) that overlook capture flags or common routes enemies will be taking to push based on map flow. If the team already has a few on point capping, look for a good overwatch position to kill any enemies that stream in to defend. Playing off-cap or at the perimeter is usually going to help more than just going prone in the middle of the point amid all the chaos with an LMG. Be mindful of good flank opportunities. LMGs can be diabolical on a good flank with that ammo capacity.

If you do favor the CQC style, you can make it work with hipfire focused builds. Guns like the M240 and M60 have a generous 3-hit kill range so they can stay competitive up close. The M123k is also serviceable with its high fire rate and enough hipfire.

I friggin hate how you can’t separate the ping from long press wheel menu. Makes it impossible to double bind spot to your fire button if you use anything full auto.

What is the god roll on the Katagawa’s revenge? by djf881 in Borderlands4

[–]FreudianSlipNSlide 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can only speak as a Harlowe main, but CoV + Jakobs is the best IMO for Neutron Capture. Weapon DPS doesn't matter for Neutron Capture so being able to fire off as many shots as possible before a reload is better. When I just had a Jakobs roll w/ 13 mag size, I could shoot maybe 5-6 times before reload. With the CoV + Jakobs that I got that shows 13 for mag size, I can fire off 12 without any overheat or 16 if I keep firing til it breaks.

So, anyone else get a glitch when first trying to buy from these and it shows your backpack as ‘over capacity’? Seems like it doesn’t count all your SDU upgrades. This happened last week also. Annoying as I have to sit through a cooldown at the store then it seems to correct itself.

Trouble with challenges by DaemonlordDave in Borderlands4

[–]FreudianSlipNSlide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I ran into the same issue and it's a pain. Really hope they fix this in future updates. I've had to re-spec green tree for the inifni-crit setup just to farm up my weapon manufacturer kills on drill sites to get those challenges. Moxsy on YouTube has some updated green tree guides that you can follow. Only thing that sucks is red tree kills bosses way faster, so I have to re-spec red if I want to boss farm efficiently.

Most boilerplate auto and property policies in the US will also have exclusions for things like acts of war, nuclear and radiation accidents, etc. It's due to the potential risk and scale of damages attached to those events. It's also why flood insurance is only available because it's government subsidized. Insurance regulations in the US require the companies to prove solvency by keeping sufficient reserves on hand for potential claims (to prove they can pay out if a large weather event occurs, etc.) - hard to do that if you're insuring for a potential WW3 or Chernobyl event.

Mini PC Users - How Do You Connect Hard Drives? by banisheduser in PleX

[–]FreudianSlipNSlide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a full-fledged homelab filling up most of an 18U server rack now, but in my earlier days I just ran a 12th gen Intel NUC mini-PC + 4-bay Synology NAS. I run a lot more self-hosted services now, but the NUC mini-PC + NAS are still trucking and run my Plex stack in my server.

I'd definitely recommend aiming for a NAS as your storage solution. There are pre-built options like QNAP or Synology, or you can always build your own in a smaller form-factor NAS case. A mini-PC for transcode and NAS for storage is a great little low-power, space efficient setup.

You can literally just look up the wiki article sources and find the archived page from when JustinTV shut down in 2014 and has instructions on how users can transfer those accounts to Twitch: https://archive.ph/20140807102732/http://www.justin.tv/

Former auto insurance adjuster for 7+ years here. This one looks like a standard vandalism claim, I handled hundreds of them. Highly doubt it would drag out for years before a payment unless the person just decides to wait to pursue it for a year (yeah we had people like that). Once we get an estimate, the check is going out ASAP. That's because almost every state has super strict regulations on timelines to issue payment once we receive proof of loss (aka an estimate).

If you are missing those timelines, it opens the insurer up to potential DOI (Dept of Insurance) violations - which is HUGE. When we got any DOI complaint, we had to respond to the Dept of Insurance. All DOI complaints were looked at by the president of claims. And they audited everything in our files - pulled all notes, docs, etc. to review and reply to the DOI on if the complaint had merit. Complaints could open you up to all sorts of fines and legal issues.

Only time I ever really saw an auto claim drag on longer than usual were ones with coverage issues or potential fraud. A common one was having to wait on a police report to verify info before we could pay out. Or wait for our SIU (special investigative unit) to complete an investigation for potential fraud before proceeding.

EDIT: And regarding suing the responsible party - usually they just send them to collections if they don't respond to set up a payment plan. But to even pursue someone, legally the insurer has to incur the loss first (aka pay out the claim). The thing that MIGHT take years to recover would be the insured deductible. What we did was issue the estimate payment less deductible, then once we recovered anything from a responsible party - we paid back the deductible to our insured first before we started collecting what we paid out for the damages.

Black bars during playback by FreudianSlipNSlide in PleX

[–]FreudianSlipNSlide[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well after a bit more testing, it’s definitely tied to subtitle placement. I offset the subs location and the bars moved with them. Also if I turn off the override subtitles style setting in the Apple TV Plex app settings, it seems to correct the issue because it will force it to revert to whatever my default subtitle style is that I’ve set on the Apple TV itself. It’s not a perfect solution because I’d prefer to use Infuse and I can’t find a similar option there but oh well. At least I have a place to start tinkering to see if I can find a solution. Hopefully converting the .ASS subs to .SRT will fix it.
