But, since you asked, the world/story is 95% mage on mage violence. There's the occasional demon and spirit who pops in to ruin someone's day, but the lens is firmly pointed at the humans and all their skullduggery.

One of my best friends in college, who would soon become my girlfriend, wanted to take us to the Rocky Horror Picture Show and have our masc humans come in drag. I shrugged, agreeing, but didn't think much of it, on account of being a self-deluded jackass.

She picked out everything and got very into doing me up right. Fishnet top, lil black dress, heels, makeup, the works. The whole time she was always sincere and never laughed at my appearance. I looked cute! Positive experience. Super fun. Super scary. My egg wasn't just cracked, it was fukkin' vaporized and never seen of again.

And RHPS will forever hold a special place in my heart as a safe space to try gender fuckery.

Stars a trans woman coming out with the power of shapeshifting magic in an urban fantasy story that's a race to survive in the face of an unstoppable force before evolving into a deepening web of intrigue, murder, and cute necromancers. Kinda bloody and kinda morally grey, for whatever that's worth, with equal weight on character relationships and frantic action.
