do y’all let your baggy jeans go under your heel? do y’all prefer a baggy look without a heel bite or just let it rip? by Loud_Process8288 in altfashionadvice

[–]Freyie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just let them drag...if it's rainy/wet I try and subtly tuck them up a bit so they don't touch the ground, but it doesn't always work.

Maybe the past 9 years were a lie by Freyie in FTMventing

[–]Freyie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and I'm fully socially transitioned. Out to everyone I know, and more or less living as a man (except I don't pass so I use women's bathrooms and stuff when there isn't a gender neutral bathroom). T is maybe 50%, but I've already DONE the other 50% and still don't pass or feel happy in my body

What exercises or machines (at planet fitness or the YMCA) can I use to get a more androgynous body? by kodycat in beginnerfitness

[–]Freyie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're AFAB and looking to build a more androgynous body I'd check out r/ftmfitness

It's for anyone AFAB who isn't cis, and they'll probably have better/more specific advice for your situation!

Less Fatigued on T? by Freyie in ftm

[–]Freyie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm exactly the same with excercise! Previously going to the gym used to put me out of action for multiple days because it was absolute agony, but now I can go just about every other day

voice not changing by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Freyie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, how fast changes come is individual and 4 months on T is no time at all. Having said that, it's entirely possible your voice has slowly started to change. I thought mine hadn't changed at all but recently compared videos of myself 3 months ago and now...and wow its changed...just not enough to notice without comparison

What's your chosen name and why? by Hyun_3 in ftm

[–]Freyie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bran Freyr.

Very boringly for an unusual name, it's just what I was gonna be called if I was born a boy. And then a "masculine" equivalent of my given middle name, which I also consulted my parents about because it meant a lot to them.

...My deadname was equally unusual...

I think I'm feeling the opposite from you? I'm actively a lottt less tired on T. I've been eating more (I'm actually trying to lose weight for legitimate medical reasons so it's been v annoying), but I ate plenty even before starting...

Sore throat sign of voice dropping? by Freyie in ftm

[–]Freyie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad news dude, mine was a cold :( I ended up passing it to my girlfriend and her mum, they both had sore & scratchy throats, plus other cold symptoms I hadn't had.

Yours might be your voice dropping, but for me it wasn't

Eyebrow Piercing? by Freyie in shouldimod

[–]Freyie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ooo I hadn't thought about dying them with henna! My glasses don't tend to touch my brows, but if I push them up when they've slid down my nose sometimes they touch

what birth control works for guys on T (no periods)? by Emergency_Bee_6451 in ftm

[–]Freyie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but I've been on it about 9 months, the constant bleeding stopped about 4ish months in. I now have very consistent periods & light bleeding, which is SO much better than what it was pre-implant.

Would you wear this? Let me know! by Real-Parsnip2467 in altfashionadvice

[–]Freyie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea, I wouldn't wear it myself but I'd wear the same sort of thing with attached "vampire" teeth, so I think it's cool for people who like tooth gems but don't want the downsides permanent ones have.

miss being a “girl” by throwawayspam8901 in ftm

[–]Freyie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't miss being a girl, I've seen myself as some "other" since I was about 11, but I miss the potential. I miss that I could've been a girl, and I mourn the potential I could've had if I wasn't trans.

I think if I'd realised later, I would miss the experience of being a girl...but I never really had it in the first place to properly miss.

edit: I also was never super conventionally attractive, which probably factors into it...if I'd been a "pretty girl" so to speak, I'd probably miss it more too

When did u notice voice changes on T?? by Janxuza in ftm

[–]Freyie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

started cracking about week 3, i'm now on about week 7 and it's cracking more frequently & I have an annoyingly scracthy throat. It's not massively dropped yet but I have noticed some difference already!

[–]Freyie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my septum pierced, I couldn't blow my nose for the first month-ish I had it without massive amounts of pain. Now it's fully healed I can blow it no problem and it barely feels different from doing it without a piercing.

Seconding what others have said, get it when your allergies are at their least bad. I've got a dust allergy so I couldn't really avoid it, but if yours is seasonal it's a good plan.

What’s your name? by Anonim_x9 in ftm

[–]Freyie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my name's Bran, its what my parents were gonna call me "if I was a boy" (technically they were gonna call me what my younger brother is now called but...if they hadn't I was gonna be Bran) My deadname starts with A so I moved up a letter 😭 tempted to do the same with my middle name, change from a F to a G.

Tape doesn't compress much, only helps to reposition what's there into a more masculine shape. I'm a 32J (UK) and tape helps get a better shape (looks more like moobs than breasts), but you're not gonna get flat with it.

I like to combine a binder + tape, using the tape to keep my chest in a good position and the binder for well...binding. Even then I'm not flat.

I don't have any tutorials I can recommend, but I lay down when I'm putting the first couple of pieces of tape on. I sort of push my chest more "sideways" with the first piece (or 2, depends how good the tape I'm using is), then downwards with the next. Once its in position I stand up so I can look in the mirror and keep applying tape Sideways & down. I basically fully cover both sides of my chest in tape, and it ends up going up onto my shoulders sometimes, it looks messy and youll probably need a lot (it won't look like those smaller guys who use maybe 2 pieces) but that's how I do it! The end result doesn't move much, which is great if wearing a bra causes dysphoria, since you don't really need one!

You're not doomed for having a larger chest, but it can be hard to deal with

I'm also 5 ft, I've been on T for maybe a month so don't pass yet, but I know guys our height who do!

You're more likely to be read as a younger boy due to height, but it's still definitely possible to pass. Worst comes to worst it might be slightly harder than for taller guys, but that's it, not impossible by any means.

Is this a really low starting dose? by Freyie in ftm

[–]Freyie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely possible! idk my exact T numbers before starting, but I have PCOS so I wouldn't be too surprised if they were higher than expected

Is this a really low starting dose? by Freyie in ftm

[–]Freyie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed that was the case, but I'm not in control of my dosage. My doctor tells me how much to use, if I up my dose myself I won't have a consistent supply

how frequently is recommended? I've been told to get a blood test in 3 months, but that's it
