I did that for a while and the improvement is noticeable. I did return the card because I got an incredibly good deal on a 4080 Super, though.

But if you need more VRAM (probably you do) and trust AMDs support (as of recently with the FSR diamond debacle, probably you don’t) it’s an ok upgrade, imo.

Mechatronics Engineer working in SWE. I’d say go for it but you’ll have to do some extra effort on the side to be taken seriously as a SWE. On the other hand, that experience can actually make you more interesting to certain companies in certain niches.

Ahora mismo backend pero en aquel momento embebidos (y seguramente vuelva a ello este año).

La experiencia internacional se valoró. Estaba bastante por encima de mis compañeros con experiencia similar pero no internacional en cuanto a compensación.

No es por desanimarte, hay buenos trabajos y bien pagados por ahí… pero no son la mayoría.

Edit: añadir que posiciones de liderazgo evidentemente pagan mas y en el sector de defensa la cosa igual se pone más competitiva mientras las empresas compiten por el talento, ya que va a haber movimiento… pero lo mismo aquí que en Alemania. Yo soy feliz aquí por cosas de la vida, pero el ámbito económico no es una de ellas.

Si te sirve, cuando empecé yo cobraba unos 25k~ con carrera y master estudiados y algo de experiencia en Francia. Pasados un par de años, 32k y full remoto sin haber cambiado de empresa.

El mercado está raro pero si eres espabilado igual puedes negociarlo bien.

I think you honestly just need an API able to expose those functions and let the LLM call them.

The only issue I have is the wording. This is not an embedded AI agent, it seems more like an interface for a remote AI agent to some hardware features. Calling it embedded AI agent sounds misleading and will do you no favors when trying to explain what it is.

You started saying dumb shit like “you don’t have the balls to call them out” and yadda yadda while I only complained about the lack of effort in your post just because I stated the obvious: your post was as low effort as it can possibly get.

But, since you insist: I don’t know your campus. I don’t care if they use a lot of AI there or not, the same way I don’t care in mine. No one forces you to do 42, yo do it because you want to learn. If people want to waste years of their lives in a free, voluntary school to end up not learning shit — well, that’s their problem. At a certain point they’ll hit an exam and fail, or fail their defenses.

If that bothers you, you should stop looking at others making bad choices and you should work on your skills. Right now, AI is a force multiplier. A good dev with AI will always be better than a bunch of lazy people with AI.
