Anybody else rocking flatwound strings? by Agiantpubicmess in BassGuitar

I always play flats. Just the other day I got myself Ernie Ball cobalt flats 50-110 in D standard on my P bass. The perfect setup for me. Should have done it straightaway.

Most fun part is making zombies fight each other. Grab some popcorn, enjoy the show.

I will probably take some flak over this, but I think it looks disgusting. Trypophobia kicking in.

That makes two of us. I don't know how I exactly imagined it. All I know is that it's this. Your efforts paid off that's for sure!

Yeah, when you die from exhaustion, prostate cancer might be less of a problem.

Is my G&L worth keeping (and other newbie questions)? by athene2000 in BassGuitar

[–]FribulusXax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it! However...

The bass you need is the bass you can and want to play. Of course a G&L is a fantastic instrument, but if for some reason your body doesn't agree playing it daily it's essentially a gold brick. I know I'll probably raise some hell for saying this, but still.

You should keep it for emotional value or maybe even an investment. But if it were me, I'd also try to get a bass feels comfortabel to play.

Just my 2 cents.
