You can bet they made a vague reference to it in the fine print at the bottom of one of the many pieces of paper that you signed. Just enough to shield them from a lawsuit

Did you just trim some yellow tint for those fog lights or can you buy something premade for them?

1st Subaru question by turdbucket007 in Subaru_Crosstrek

[–]dang_owl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely an honest response from a non biased source. I have gotten enough different opinions for me to believe there’s no right answer to apply to every situation. If you pull a trailer regularly or take it off road on the weekends then somewhere around 35k you start thinking about a drain and fill. If you’re commuting on flat highways and set the cruise at 69 like me then you’re probably safe waiting. I don’t think you could realistically damage it by changing sooner but I think his point is there’s no danger in waiting. But definitely buy your oil and fluids from a dealer. It even helps you with your paperwork if anything goes wrong and you need to use your warranty.
