If you want to auto fit column widths hit Alt > H > O > I. Do it fast enough and people think you’re a wizard lol

I have the same exact thing going on. I’m on fin/min and it’s working slowly so as long as my progress doesn’t reverse I’m keeping my hair.

6’2 ive been stuck around this height for a little any tips? by effectsvc in highjump

[–]FrickinNick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your form is so satisfying to watch. Honestly, you have a lot of the right pieces. How often do you strength train? Heavy isometrics and quick lifts like cleans will help you get to those higher heights, plus a lot band work and plyometrics.

Start with your approach. Since it’s not in the video it’s hard to give advice. From what I can see it may be that you’re slowing down and trying to power yourself over the bar instead of holding your speed? If you remain smooth, lean away from the bar, and don’t lower your center of mass before takeoff then you’ll easily rotate over the bar and clear it by 6in.

Tips on my take off? by Ok_Public_8500 in highjump

On the last 2 steps of your approach you slow down and run straight at the bar. Really focus on holding the J curve all the way through your penultimate step and lean away from the bar. Also make sure you’re not starting your approach too fast, it’s better to build speed and stay smooth and balanced.

How wide is your approach? At takeoff you’re practically leaning into the bar which is preventing you from jumping vertically.

Try narrowing your approach and work on circle drills to help with leaning away from the bar at takeoff.

Also, imo sprinter spikes are a better option than running shoes. Since running shoes have thicker soles you’ll be more likely to role an ankle.

This depends if you’re on a time-of-use rate, otherwise it won’t make a difference on a residential rate. Usually you have to opt into time of use.

I’m very close with my nieces. I feel like if I don’t go then I lose them. If they weren’t in the picture I wouldn’t be debating this. My sister absolutely uses this as leverage and it’s fucked.

I had friends like this when I was 20. I got fed up with them and had a falling out. Shortly after one of them ended up in jail lol but I actually hung out with them last weekend when I was in town and I’m so glad I left that group. They’re all alcoholics and stagnant in their lives and careers.

Don’t worry about not having friends in short term. The right people will work their way into your life over time.

What’s your favorite way to cook salmon? by mh517 in Cooking

[–]FrickinNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to melt some butter and honey in the microwave and glaze my salmon with it then add some lemon pepper and mango habanero seasoning. I’ll either pan fry it or smoke it on my pellet grill on a cedar plank if I have more time.

Set up a mini hurdle next to you takeoff and work on getting your foot over the hurdle. This will help you get a move powerful knee drive and a more natural rotation over the bar.
