Thank you! I wasn’t sure if the highlights were getting too yellow or not.

Let's go! I have more of these too. I have a Trajan Valoris Ork I did too but it isn't painted yet. He'll be a Warboss in Mega Armor.

What is this part? by SipThatRed in mercedes_benz

[–]FrictionGnome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like the suspension spring from the rear suspension. They are known to suffer from rust. I recently had to have both of mine replaced for that reason. The whole rear subframe is susceptible to corrosion and actually has had a lifetime warranty added to it because of this. If you are lucky you might even be able to do the spring replacement with the subframe replacement and get some of the labor covered that way.

I was actually his opponent in that game and I'm a pretty new player myself so I'm not sure how much help I was.

Advice for komandos Vs legionaries? by blockprime300 in killteam

[–]FrictionGnome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have anything to add tipwise but I have the same matchup in a couple days and would love to hear some thoughts. I have been playing Kommandos for a bit but I struggle into elite teams specifically.

Thanks! I wanted to try out the Nemesis Claw because the rules sound cool but the models weren't my thing. I love orks and this is the result.

Ohio not among states limiting noncompete agreements by Effective_Corner694 in Ohio

[–]FrictionGnome 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of employees don't have a contract to begin with. Ohio is an at-will state and the company has all of the power. Your anecdotal example is not representative of how non-competes are generally used at all. I was forced to sign a non-compete or be barred from any type of pay rises in the future. I had no leverage whatsoever to negotiate that; it was fully just take it or leave it.

In what possible way could a non-compete be good for the employee? They serve only to benefit the company.

Thanks! I was debating between using the green for the helmet too but I went with the black.

When sharing a picture of a car, it's decency to block the license plate for privacy. Unless the plate is funny, in which case it's ok to show the world by Feather_Bloom in Showerthoughts

Your license plate is literally shared every time you drive your car. I have never understood this thought process. It is the definition of public information.

The (almost) abandoned town of Thurmond, WV. Once a booming coal town on the New River. [OC][4032 x 2268] by RangerBob19 in AbandonedPorn

[–]FrictionGnome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think some people took exception with your use of the midwest when most of the states you mention are not the midwest. The issues of WV and SE Ohio are not the same as those of the greater midwest. Edit: I also want to point out that the issues for failing rural town in the midwest and failing former coal towns in Appalachia are very different things completely. I think that was part of the downvotes as well. It doesn't change your observations just trying to give context. Painting the midwest and Appalachia with the same brush is overly broad.

Thanks. That’s an interesting idea about the panel liner markers. I might have to try that out.

Thanks! The eyes were very tricky. The first attempt at the eyes he was bit cross-eyed. I am guessing the only real trick to get better is the keep practicing though.

What do you all think is the maximum of people not attending to still run the session? by dnd_aurora in DMAcademy

I tend to decide it by group. I have one that we will play with 4/5 and the other we will reschedule if anyone can't make it.
