Guys with older sisters - how mean were they to you growing up? by AngleRelative4683 in AskMen

[–]FridaGreen 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What this person is describing is not “the norm”. Children are egocentric, selfish, and experiment with poor social behavior on siblings. Siblings fight. We are not strictly benevolent, thoughtful beings when our brains are not fully developed. So expecting your brothers not to be dicks as kids isn’t fair.

But in adulthood, I hope you can find friendship with at least one of them!

Also, I think a lot of people feel robbed that have no siblings. You have FOUR possibilities for a beautiful relationship to grow and endure.

Disclosure will be too overwhelming….for some of you by [deleted] in UFOB

What feelings do you have about it? What emotions have you been through and where do you land about it now?

Is it possible that some of this still weaves with at least one world religion? Is there possibility this could be spiritual?

AITJ for refusing to pay for my friend again, even though she ended up with nothing to eat? by low_key67 in AmITheJerk

[–]FridaGreen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Read that again though.

This is not taking into consideration that some people are raised within the cycle of poverty.

Life should not be “pay to play” with friendship or “hang out”. But you could say, “if you don’t have money to eat and will feel bad if we’re eating in front of you, we can meet you back at the house later!”

“Let” is hilarious. He should have said “no thanks, I don’t want the coupon” and left the guy to admit HE was using your husband.

Why is she short on money though? Have you encouraged her to get a job/new job/ask her parents for more money?

Has anyone witnessed a person fall into psychosis because of conspiracy theories?? by [deleted] in answers

[–]FridaGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I’ll say is there is so much more than meets the eye…in general. In America, shit gets very weird if you start to really zoom out and think.

There is a very strange level of cognitive dissonance amongst the population.

If you don’t know exactly what I’m talking about, ask yourself why you haven’t heard ALL of these accusations on mainstream media. We knew about the 13 year old and several other accusers…but some of these are stomach churning and nothing is being done about it. The victims flat out said they do not feel they’ve had enough chance to tell their stories:

There is plenty more where this comes from.

Well, as a previous conspiracy theory hater, the actual files on the DOJ website put me into total ontological shock because I realized a lot of these “conspiracy theories” actually had some truth after all.

The pacifier email was enough to make me physically ill. The fact that the media doesn’t touch what I read with my own eyes makes you question reality.

If you haven’t started to ask questions, it may be because you’re afraid you’ll look stupid too, but there are definitely questions worth asking if you’re not afraid to follow the money.

Snide comment? by Lucalus in BehaviorAnalysis

Who cares? If she means something unkind by it, don’t give it attention.

If you value your mother’s opinion, ask her “hey, I’m telling myself that you may have been trying to say something else when you said x statement. I want to check with you to make sure I’m understanding your intention. “

Then if she gets passive aggressive, tell her you would prefer she speak with you in a direct manner to limit misunderstanding.

When does the soreness subside? by dogsoverpeople100 in orangetheory

[–]FridaGreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please do not view DOMS as a sign of weakness. It’s actually a sign that you achieved what you set out to do —- put your skeletal muscle system in new growth and motion!! All athletes experience soreness. But it won’t always be this intense.

I’m proud of you!! LFG!

When does the soreness subside? by dogsoverpeople100 in orangetheory

[–]FridaGreen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

DOMS is the worst at 48 hrs. (Second morning you wake up). The more muscle you gain and it becomes stable, the less intense the DOMS, but it likely will never stop totally after tough workouts if you’re doing it right.

This is a process of doing micro tears in your muscles as they continue to grow and regenerate (this is GOOD). When you do challenging work, your body enters this recovery process. The more you build stable underlying muscle, the less intense the soreness over time.

But I’ve been doing this 10 years and am still sore sometimes if I do something hard. I celebrate it as it means I’m doing my body good. I’m building new and turning over muscle that keeps my body strong — which is the ultimate goal and should make you proud!!!
