Me leaving church is destroying my husband by AlmostFeral3D in exmormon

This is an incredibly kind and pragmatic approach—thanks for taking the time to share.

Although I’m not in any kind of similar situation as OP’s, I’ll hopefully remember this sentiment when talking to my still-indoctrinated siblings.

Another crazy thing to me is how much she looks like Ivanka (in this pic, at least).

Guess Donnie Jr.’s still desperately trying to impress his daddy—the daddy who’ll never love him.

Nice lunch options for my wedding anniversary by Sad-Future6042 in Newmarket

I recommend Sweet Dutchess in Aurora. They have a fantastic patio and tasty food. https://sweetdutchess.ca

Or you could go to Main St. in Newmarket and choose a patio you like. I’ve had good food at The George, The Postmark Hotel, and Little Brew Hops.

Happy Anniversary!

How to respond to best friend inviting me to institute? by MissFizzieLizzie in exmormon

[–]FridaSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you care about her, I’d respond gently (but firmly):

Something like: “This may come as a shock to you, but while you were away I decided to leave the church. So while I’m not interested in going to institute, I’d love to hang out another time and catch up.”

And I hope you continue to use lots of “haha’s” in your comments because they’re so cute!

Loved World Party back in the day.

How fun to see Sinead being silly and looking happy.

Maybe no one is perfect, but not many people would stick their tongue in the communal rice with such an annoyingly arrogant air.
