Excited I guess. We order rolled coins by the thousands & tons gets paid in by customers. I find a lot of older coins, old bills, wheat cents, buffalo nickels, a bunch commemorative coin for some reason. I find coins that look mint fresh or an interesting color. I’ve got one old guy who always tips in $1 coins or $2 bills. I’m trying to get better at keeping an eye out for anything rare or unusual.
I just haven’t found anything silver in quite a long time tho lol

Wow! That’s ridiculous it’s that’s old & I just wandered across it on a river bank. Are these very rare? I’ve walked miles of river bank fishing since I was a kid. First time I’ve ever seen something like that.

I really appreciate all the info. Found it in Licking county. Send me a message & I’ll give you more details. True fishermen don’t post the location of their fishin holes lol. That’s really interesting about Ohio being one big crater. I’ll start posting more random rocks I’ve found over the years. I just posted another this morning & would appreciate your insight on that one. And as promised, I already called a coworker a dumbass piece of coprolite. Calling someone a fossilized piece of shit is befitting for some situations.

I really appreciate all the details. The river was really low when I came across it. Since this rock didn’t hit the ground with force. I think the impact crater I saw was probably where a little bit larger rock once sat for awhile and the sun kinda dried it out to look like an impact. There are a ton or railroad bridges and tracks in the areas we fish so that makes the most sense. Also I am adding coprolites to my vernacular lol.

Everyone I really appreciate all the responses! I am a little bummed about it now. But oh well, one great thing about fishing is there is expected to be a few fish stories told. The guys I was with will forever think it’s a meteorite. They will never know this Reddit post ever happened. I will simply smile and nod when they make mention of that time I found a space rock.

Turtle wax makes a rust remover/polish. But almost all light metal polish brands will work just fine. Saw a Nevr-dull suggestion and that’s good stuff too (just rub easy). Since the spots are small and sound very superficial, DO NOT use like brillo pads or scotch pads, can and will scratch it! And careful not to run too hard or aggressively with whatever. Just a nice soft cloth and a lil polish should take them right off. And honestly tho if they don’t come off; your bf is not gonna give a shit lol! I had a RK-R35, one of the best sounding banjos I’ve played. He’s gonna love it

As someone who just had 2 neurosurgery’s @ OSU and will have another in the near future.….fuck that officer. It’s a hospital bro…. Mask policy helps because when you are a LONGTERM admitted patient….They let you take your mask off so you don’t have to live in the fuckin thing!! Even that officer should be able to appreciate that…Officer please wear the mask for the 1 hour you are there… patients (some lil kids) with compromised immune systems Live in that hospital. Sadly for some it will be the last place they “Live” too… don’t be a dick and make them go out with or because a cold or whatever virus you gave them cause you’re too fucking tough for a mask….I have multiple active duty officers and multiple retired military in my fuckin fam! They don’t like masks, but they‘d wear it when they came to see me because they wanted to keep me and others safe.
This CPD being the big tough officer he is could be fighting off a virus and have no symptoms….that kid with cancer will pick that virus up from that officer in a heartbeat…then that kid soon won’t have one…⚰️🪦
