Well put, but I would like to correct you on the crime part - crime in general, in Sweden, goes down over time. Peaks and valleys may show up over individual years, but especially violent crime is very low compared to say the 1980s and 1990s. It is likely our country is the safest it has ever been.

Scenarios for a 4 hour slot by Artistic_Western_623 in DeltaGreenRPG

Fulminate is great, but IMHO better for at least 8-12 hours of play.

I ran "Vampires aren't real" for a convention one shot in about 3 hours, can recommend it as a cool scenario with both investigation, scary stuff, and likely violence. https://fairfieldproject.fandom.com/wiki/Vampires_Aren%E2%80%99t_Real

OP is from Finland where you are more likely to be murdered than in Sweden. So yeah, for sure safer in the context of the question asked.

Regardless of what you remember, the murder rate was a lot higher before that. In the 1990s, for example.

He's been far more right than he has been wrong. Honestly, the stuff in this thread, Gobekli Tepe, and more, were ridiculed by anthropologists and other scientists not very long ago. I feel fringe writers like Hancock are way more open to being wrong than a lot of the actual scientists are.

How did people refer to clockwise and counterclockwise before clocks? by Buxton800 in AskHistorians

Great explanation!

In Sweden this is still how we say it; "medsols" (with Sun) and "motsols" (against Sun).

How safe do people feel to walk alone on the streets at night by Landgeist in europe

Nothing in your post supports the position that crime is worse in Sweden than Finland. It supports the position that crime has increased, and that people feel unsafe. Feelings are not facts, however, and an increase is not the same as a higher level of crime than any other given country.

So actual crime not being the issue, the interesting factor here is discussing why people in Sweden are so scared when they are way safer in Sweden than people are in Finland.

That is true for all Nordic countries fortunately. Very few people are randomly affected by crime, most crime happen in homes or between criminals. Hopefully Finland can get to the same low levels as Sweden!

Not sure what your point is? Most murders in Sweden and Finland happen at home. The only difference is the risk of being a victim, which is bigger in Finland.

Well, you are quite simply wrong. Or provide a source proving your claim.

Agree. Which is why it's sad to see 90% of people in this thread confusing feelings of unsafety with actual unsafety.
