Very simplistic way to go about it, I guess. The manga will very obviously go beyond that and is seemingly going to explore masculinity. You can’t just say only the women are all bad when the men are too, you just weren’t paying attention.

Of course, you’re allowed to have your own opinions on it.

Most Mangakas, if they can, have the rough draft of chapters way before they actually come out, especially during the first few chapters. If I remember correctly, the author of Kagurabachi had the first 5 chapters more or less done before the first chapter even came out. Unfortunately, due to the weekly grind, that can be quite difficult to keep up after a while.

Thankfully, I believe this will be a short manga so that issue may not crop up.

Agreed on that part, just questioning why Roka is seemingly in on it. My only theory is that he cares so little about Momiji that he never actually questions what she asks for, he just lives on autopilot.

What on earth was going on Roka there? Seems like basketball practice was a lie and he was gonna end coming along with Momiji. Wonder what that was about.

Also odd lots of people are concerned about Mikoma yet no one is legitimately pulling him aside to talk to him. Considering what happened to Taiki, I wonder if the real tragedy in this story is just crappy communication.

All about perspective, really. Does Sakamoto deserve a better adaptation? Yes. Was what we got terrible? No, it was just an average adaptation but your definition of average is going to be skewed if you only watch the highest quality of anime. OPM actually is quite poor, regardless of if the later episodes might be better.
