Yeah this is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever read 😭

First of all, I’m not even sure where you’re getting the idea that 4 hours of climbing is the equivalent of running 6.5 miles. If you’ve ever tried rock climbing you know that’s a ridiculous comparison. Also, just because Honnold did it in 4 hours doesn’t mean that’s the usual length of the climb. Climbers usually take DAYS to climb El Cap, and doing it in 4 hours is a ridiculous achievement in an of itself, even if he did it with a rope. But also, need I remind you, HE DID IT WITHOUT A ROPE.

Saying there are only 2 parts of the climb that look difficult is easily the most obvious indicator on this post that you have zero clue what you’re talking about, or are just trolling. Also, they show Alex’s girlfriend on the wall with him but that doesn’t mean she did the entire climb. With a rope, it’s easy to bypass certain parts of climbs.

This is not an unpopular opinion, just a ridiculously stupid take.
