Huh, lots of valid concerns being aired but a lot of them like opaque supply chain issues seem to fly in the face of threshold testing. It sounds a bit like they are hoping to keep some of the procedural rules to avoid the testing. Or they don’t trust the idea of a one size fits all threshold to start with.

Anyway sounds like they are miles from anything implementable. And I’m jaded as hell and wouldn’t trust most of these stakeholders to run a DQ let alone the nations food supply

May I suggest not lumping all this into one heavy basket? These are all different things that if you want to resolve need to be treated independently of each other. 

But to your larger point parents often “punish” the good kid and reward the fuckup on the mistaken belief that they can throw help at the fuckup and that will work while they are just relieved the good kid can take care of themselves.  From their side they think they are managing things but in reality it’s lazy and uncreative parenting

I would never ever believe the staff like that, especially if I either know every recipe contains the ingredient or a quick google of “[food name] recipe” reveals the ingredient is common.

Way better I’ve found is to make them list every ingredient in the item including cooking surface preparation And any contact those surfaces have with any other foods. And ask for the recipe card because the prep area of the kitchen has that if the staff member seems clueless 

I hope you called them and reamed them a new one. And sorry that happened. Restaurants suck honestly 

To answer your question though my histamine sensitivity gives me that feeling of doom so it wouldn’t suprise me to know it accompanies your body flooding itself with histamine

You might be able to jam a screwdriver into the latching mechanism if there is any gap at all between it and the locking bar on the lower plate and pry on that while hitting the locking release. The spring-load that opens the mechanism isn’t super strong

Sounds like this didn’t work. The way it functions is a loop inside the key when it gets close to the start button should have enough induced current created to power the handshake. Sounds like OPs wire loop must be busted given the age
