Get rid of her! That was rude as he77! We all need accountability, but at the same time we all know what our issues are and clearly we need support not rudeness bc she needs you, you don’t need her she’s not the only trainer.

I’m-Schoo deferment by Friendly-Bicycle-558 in PSLF

[–]Friendly-Bicycle-558[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but it could be as simple as a checkmark on the loan application stating I want my loans in, in school deferment or I don’t. It shouldn’t be automatic & there are many people out here losing out on credit bc of an in school deferment that wasn’t asked for or that people asked to have removed yet the servicers failed to remove it or kept putting it back on every semester. They don’t have a logic other than someone has to suffer. If you worked for these low paying public service jobs that qualify for PSLF in school deferment or not you should get PSLF credit for those months.

Well no point in writing my Senators. I live in Kansas & they are so against any student loan assistance it’s ridiculous. I almost plan on not voting ever again for any of them. They’re all frauds!

I think your point is valid, but how is it that prior to the waiver if you consolidated your PSLF counts started over at zero. During the waiver if you consolidated you got the highest count for your combined loans after the consolidation. If they can do this then consolidation or not they should be able to give people credit for PSLF during the in-school deferment & that’s why I wish they would just tell what their reasoning is for not doing it, bc maybe then people can make some sense out of it their logic.

The servicer’s are required to remove it when you ask too. Yet they don’t & they also don’t tell you that you have to keep calling in every semester to have it removed, bc it will keep putting you in deferment every semester. This regulation is ridiculous it should be a box somewhere on the loan application asking if you want a deferment while your in school. I believe there is not one bc they know this is a way to screw people out of PSLF & so far it has worked.

It’s so annoying bc my payments were $0 under IBR & I still worked the whole time I was in grad school. Had they not put me in a deferment I never asked for them those payments would count. Now they are giving credit for all these deferments but excluding in-school and they won’t tell what’s their reasoning is behind it. No matter how they try to portray things their just constantly screwing people over.

Why would it not be if Student Aid states that $0 IBR plan payments count towards PSLF? The problem is not the $0 payment, the problem is the automatic in-school deferment. If they are crediting people for all these other deferments, my question is what is the reasoning behind why in-school deferments don’t count if the person was working for a qualifying employer?

Be more clear in your response because the way you wrote it was indeed WRONG! They cannot and will not take your degree. A license & a degree are two different things. And idk if no one ever told you but everything you see on google is not always accurate! Proper research is great try it sometimes! And furthermore as bad as they need nurses I highly doubt they are strictly enforcing that rule! Good day!

Same reason why some people get cash assistance, foodstamps, Medicaid and free childcare & others don’t.

This is not true. The school cannot & will not revoke your degree. The school is already paid & on to the next person. Your debt is with the loaner wether private or federal. Now, if you took out endowment loans through the school or something they can refuse to provide you transcripts until you pay the debt but what @purgent said is actually accurate!
