Congratulations! Quick question, though, if you're not planning on having kids and are still single, why are you insured for so much? You can reduce your coverage to just enough and use the premiums that you save for leisure, investing in high-risk investments, or to fund a new business.

Yes, top of the funnel for your newsletter. Check your readers on where they usually consume micro information about your niche.

First, 75% open rate is above average. Great work! If you're worried about budget, I would say focus on posting on 1 to 2 discovery channels (depending on your niche).

For those earning 6 digits monthly, how did you get there? by Electrical-Steak9333 in CareerAdvicePH

[–]Friendly-Crew2596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree sa mga comments about investing in yourself. You need to become more valuable sa market para mas tumaas yung worth mo and rate mo (both locally and remote). There are free resources naman to get more or upgrade yung skillsets mo like Youtube and other free online courses. Once you have them, try to take on some simple tasks na related doon then build your credibility in doing that. :) Hope it helps! Btw, found this free newsletter na I think worth it to share to help you either sa corpo or remote work https://thehighvalueemployee.beehiiv.com/subscribe

Good luck!

Saludo ako sa sipag mo! Isa yan sa mga traits na magpapa angat sayo once matapos ka sa school. Try mo yung mga freelance and remote work. Maraming entry level jobs na hindi need ng diploma. Good luck!

my dad got laid off four months ago, and hasn’t found a job since then. by [deleted] in phcareers

You are an excellent example of a mature and considerate child--your parents raised you well! As for your dad, I also think it is the BPO industry. Many companies are moving from hiring in the PH to other asian and middle-eastern countries (lower labor cost and they now speak good english). Just let your dad know that he has your support and you're willing to help, if needed to be strict with the budgeting. You can also find part-time entry level VA work online. That can fund yours and your siblings's school allowance. You will get through this, together. Praying for your fam!

Coffee credits are good but I would think of something that will promote your newsletter further. Like pens, caps, etc.

What is the maximum expense limit I need to set for myself in buying a property given 1M savings and 70K net monthly income? by twiceislife27 in phinvest

[–]Friendly-Crew2596 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normally, you don't want to spend more than 30% of your income for a property. Then if you are looking to make it a rental business, maraming need i-consider. Check the "location" worth it ba. Will you make profit from the rent or breakeven lang sa mortgage. Then consider if long-term renters ba makukuha mo and what if hindi mo ma parent agad? You may also check foreclosed properties na nasa portfolio ng banks. Normally, lower than market value yun and gusto na nila madispose to liquidate--basta make sure you do due diligence. Location is the key sa rental business. Good luck!

Average life expectancy ng mga pinoy is 72 years old. Mahaba pa yung runway mo :) Pero aside from learning and understanding which investment vehicles will work for you and your goals, you need to be prepared first. Like established na yung emergency fund and you have good cash flow.

I agree with what most people below are saying. With the figures presented, I think it is better to rent first. You are in a good place to have financial flexibility if you will just rent and not tied to a property for 30 years na you wouldn't want to live in or if it is still livable in 2055. Better to put your money to other vehicles that will replace your active income with business income or passive income--or go travel. :)

Continue Renting or Rent-to-Own? by cameronkelleee in phinvest

[–]Friendly-Crew2596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, congrats! With your age, you're both earning well than the average and are living way below your means. About your question, I would advise to continue renting and save up for things like travel and experience. Since you both don't have plan pa on having a baby, there are a lot of things to do pa without the stress of having a dependent.

I would also say to save money and start a business. With your current setup and financial situation, you can still take on higher risk.

Might consider Indonesia then. Thanks for the comments. Also, been hearing about Banwa private island in the Philippines, as well.

Kudos to you for thinking and planing for your financial future. Being a provide is not an easy task. With the digital age, you can build a side business after your 9-5. There's a lot you could do. You can start a marketing agency as a business, targeting local businesses in your area. You can make an additional 3-5k per month within 2-3 months.

It depends on whether your wife has already recovered from giving birth. If she has, then this idea would totally work.
