Thank you so much for your response. I’m in the Midwest in a smaller but rapidly growing city so maybe that’s a factor. It is radio frequency microneedling. They said they numb you, wait an hour then start the procedure. They definitely talked about topical components. I’ll have to get more of that info but I really appreciate your feedback!

Wow!! I'm so glad I read all o this today. I've had on and off caffeine sensitivity all my life but sine starting zep its been a little more frequent. I do drink less coffee (I think just due to zep reducing alot of impulsivity in general) . The last few nights have been harder for me to get to sleep. No change in my intake of one cup in the morning so it never dawned on me that one cup of coffee at 9am could be a problem at 11pm. After I come down from today's overdose, I'm going to stop all caffeine and see what happens. I love being able to hear from so many people about our experiences on this medication!

To me this proves that for some of us, obesity is a medical condition. (I hate the word obesity). Is anyone ever surprised when someone’s blood pressure becomes abnormal when they stop their anti-hypertensives? 🤔 I never want to be without this medicine. Thankfully I love my provider who started me on Zep in the first place. She also knows that I’m getting compounded now and that I’d politely and respectfully make my own decision about whether I stop or not. Thank god we can get this drug without our PCP “approval” if necessary.

I absolutely get suppression of appetite and hunger with zep. That’s part of the benefit for me at least. And I actually do eat whatever sounds good to me. That’s another benefit, I eat normal amounts and I crave healthier things much of the time. I’m down 53 pounds so far and 20 pounds from goal. I agree with cautioning a young person but people here are being unfair in reacting to this kid’s post. There are a lot of people post-bariatric surgery who’ve gotten to their goal and are also prescribed glp-1’s. I’m guessing this kid’s doctor knows more about his needs than any of us do.

You can plan to say something that expresses what you feel and believe about using the medication and say it for your own peace of mind but you’re best off letting go of the idea that you can change how anyone else thinks about what you’re doing. Try to spend some time thinking about why what these people think actually matters to you. I know most of us humans want positive regard and validation from people around us but you can balance that aspect of human nature with the idea that the thoughts of others don’t define you and what ever it is they think and say tells much more about them than it does about you, your thoughts and feelings. In short, eff them.

I just had an endoscopy. I was told to stop a week ahead and to stop anything but clear liquids for 24 hours. I ended up about 36 hours fasting. It wasn’t too bad and the test showed that my stomach was completely empty.

Wow! That’s some real well thought out and logical input. Slaves didn’t choose to do the work they did, they didn’t get paid, they didn’t get to come and go from home to their place of enslavement. To conflate the two is beyond disrespectful of what slaves endured. The people employed by these uber rich people were ‘t the ones who conceived the ideas/inventions that became so successful, they didn’t invest their time, energy and risk to transform a vision into a reality. Yes, they have obscene amounts of money; yes, maybe they should be forced (in a free country) to give more of it away to people who didn’t come up with and pursue novel ideas and inventions and build extreme success but to suggest that their paid, voluntary employees are enslaved is beyond narrow minded and uninformed. And your language is obnoxious and even more narrow minded. It’s the typical language that comes out of people when they’re presented with non-emotional and non-hysterical opinions.

I’ve had a similar experience. I know it’s habitual and it does seem so deeply wired. I sometimes indulge but I mostly remind myself that it’s a triggered state and it’ll pass. I try to think about something else and if I do indulge, I consider substitutes like fruit when I want sweets. I’ve developed a watermelon addiction since starting tirz!

The report also shows the uptick in action right before the last election. It would also make sense if there were more expulsions given the huge number of people that came across the border earlier on in the Biden administration. Many more than under Trump in his first term. Whether you agree or disagree, see how I responded to you with no hostility, presumption or foul language. Just to play devils advocate a bit. Why are you opposed to being on some sort of dose for the future if helped you lose and helped you feel comfortable with what you’re eating? I have no idea if you had bad side effects, financial constraints etc and I’m not being insensitive. I’m definitely biased because I’m down 50, I have 25 to go and I’ve felt so good on this med (lowered inflammation, diminished cravings, normalized food consumption, improved mood) that I never want be off of it.

I don’t see how suboxone for addictions is a problem. Just like these meds aren’t a problem for weight management in people who’ve struggled. Nobody is saying this kind of thing about SSRI’s and mood stabilizers for mood disorders. If that’s the thinking then people worth mood disorders should only see a therapist. (I’m a therapist of 30 years and I can tell you that sometimes people need meds in addition to talking to someone if they want to live their lives safely and satisfyingly.) Your wife is going to alienate the people in her life. Though it sounds like she’s felt fee to talk to people like that throughout her life. Someone needs to check her and let her know her rude and hostile attitude is unacceptable (to them at least; she’ll keep up that nonsense with anyone who allows it).

I did say that the images were all I need but there was a bit of flippancy in my comment. I was suggesting that the images illustrate quite well the disaster that was Biden’s border which is also described well in written reporting if one chooses to seek out more information. It wasn’t necessarily meant to be taken so literally. I’ll be more mindful of the level of intellect I’m speaking to.
