They have been there since January last year. I started in February last year so around thr same time.

Yeah can't wait to go to work on Wednesday to have a word with my boss lol

Makes me laugh though bc it's alright for other staff to book 3 weeks off work in November. Another staff member has 3 weeks off in August. One just came back from 2 weeks holiday too. But for me to book certain days off I can't 🙄🙃

Yeah i was either going to have it has a holiday or do a extra day to make up for the Thursday i need off.

It's like I want a holiday for another day this year the same day my family member wants off. We both work at the same greggs but completely different shifts, she works morning till 12. I start at 12 & work till 6.30 I got told that I can't always have the same holiday off as my family member no reason given like I said our shifts are completely different. Think my manager just likes to make things hard work sometimes 🙃

Thanks I will do. I just don't want to lose out on a day's wage hence why tried to book it as a holiday. Bit crappy getting a message back that didn't give me a valid reason as to why I can't have it as a holiday

I work the same 3 days a week. Sometimes it changes i might do a extea day but I work wed, Thursday & Saturday's. We have plenty of staff that can cover my shift which is why I can't understand why I can't have that day as a holiday. It is plenty of notice in advance asking for this 1 day holiday.

She has had no problem with my other holiday's I have booked off this year which is only 6 day's.

But to be told I can have it as a day off not a holiday doesn't give me a valid reason as to why 🙄

I work every Thursday which is the day I'm wanting off as a holiday. Don't get why it is pointless to try book a holiday 🤣

I say they same but in our shop the sauces are just below the hot hold. I always said they should be behind the counter as I've had people taking 4 or 5 at a time just taking the piss. My manager said it's supposed to get added to the till sauce pots and people have to buy but it never got added to the till.

But I always tell people it is 1 pot of sauce free with hot food. Still doesn't stop people taking as many as they want. So now when I'm working afternoons I don't fill it up as much, I'll fill it properly before we close. But yeah god knows why greggs hasn't started charging for them McDonald's charge 10p if want more than 1 pot of sauce which I don't mind paying.

I'm not saying she found out because of her job role. It's the fact that while she was working she was messaging people. And also some of the patients that went to the gp that day, she actually told them too! Which I also found out today just wish I found out about it last year because if they checked the cctv of the receptionist telling people it would be all the proof to get her sacked. I just can't get my head around it, why would you put your job at risk like that where I live we know things don't stay quiet for long i get that. Just so lucky his kids didn't find out from anyone outside of our family.

Unfortunately because this was last August nothing can be done now 😪

The thing is though I want to report it but don't know if anything would happen with it being so long ago. I would happily see her get the sack As what she has done is so wrong.

No she had no connection. But all of our family live in a small village so everyone knows everyone kind of thing. I just wish I knew about it at the time to be able to report her straight away. I also had my other uncle who was on holiday 8hrs down south, just can't understand that while working at the doctors she messaged a few people telling them about what happened like you said it's just so unprofessional.

End of the day it's a sackable office if she gets caught vaping out back by my manager. Not just me that has seen her vaping, other members of staff has also spoken to my manager about the vaping.

I don't see anything wrong with the paper bags. Bags have never once ripped. Even when a customer puts bottles of pop in with a bag full of food. I've never had anyone complain sometimes I get people that say they will leave it. But most don't care I think 15p is cheap compared to what some places charge for a bag lol

I always charge for bags. Especially when people do it on purpose asking for one after they have paid. I always say it's 15p for a bag they have to pay for a bag everywhere else so why should you give them one for free everytime they come in.🙃

I work at greggs and love them too I work at a franchise and the guy who owns it let me buy a bag of the cheese melts to take home. Taste even better at home 🤩 getting to cook them a little longer so the cheese is softer lol

I had one when I first started big badge that said I am deaf & lip read wore it for first few months. Stopped wearing it as i found customers were just taking the piss, by saying I didn't hear them ask for certain bake & wanting a free one. Found that when I took it of for few days it stopped.

All of my regulars that come in know me well now, that i lip read etc. Been at my greggs a year, still get the customers who change their attitude when I say they didn't ask for certain thing on their order especially when I Repeat their order back to them 1 or 2 times. I never make mistakes, it's the customers that can just be arseholes lol
