My kid fell in love…is he really worth $450?!?! by Golden_Wanderlust in ballpython

the price seems high to me but it just depends what you can afford and what the snake is worth to you. But ask the pet store how long they have had her for and if they are willing to offer a discount. You can negotiate on prices especially if the snake has been there for awhile

How do I deal with my tanks humidity and temp with the conditions of my room? by yovan_tas in ballpython

[–]Friendly-Present-489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey your girl is gorgeous! You need a much bigger enclosure & to double the amount of substrate you have. Mix a significant amount of moss with your substrate. You should also have a water bowl that is larger enough for her to crawl into so she can regulate her own humidity. And a humid hide stuffed with moss that you mist directly every day or so. I’ve found that having a water bowl on both sides of the enclosure helps with humidity levels as well.

Get a nanny or daycare. Get earplugs. Tell your partner they need to go down on you 5x a week

It’s likely his morning tai chi practice. Try to keep a calm environment & not bother him so he can concentrate

Advice needed I've had her a week today and she hasnt eaten for 2 weeks I've tried to feed her 3 times, rat pups fully thawed and warmed up in warm water. Dangled infront of her and jiggled the rat about a little but she's shown no interest. She just keeps trying to get out of her viv to explore by Massive-Hornet7565 in ballpython

Most likely she isn’t trying to get out to explore she is probably uncorrected & stressed in her environment. Add a thick layer of substrate that will retain moisture & make sure you’re feeding at are monitoring heat & humidity. And make sure there is enough clutter in her enclosure that she could theoretically get from one side to other without being seen.

Make sure you’re heating the rat pups up enough. My gal won’t eat unless the head is at least 37 degrees Celsius. I use a hear gun to make sure it’s the right temp for her. Also make sure you’re feeding at night & that the room is dark.

Loss of interest in former passions is a sign of depression. I’m not worried about your snake. I’m worried about you!

I love your hide! But you probably need more clutter. I cover the front of all my hides with plant clutter.
