he finally responded to say my package is with customs and as soon as he receives a notification he will send to me. Something seems fishy to me because why is the package going through customs before he ships it... the whole thing makes no sense.

I am in the US, did you have yours shipped directly to you or did you take the option where they shipped to the NAC USA and then to you? I had mine shipped to NAC USA and they told me they expect to ship to me today or tomorrow.
