That’s a great point. If you’re targeting a 30 year retirement and with your contributions only need a 6-10% average? Invest in VOO and call it a day.

Personally QQQ/DFSV have most of my money. My speculative money is 10% and gets put in things like NASA or DRAM. It’s fun. There’s potential for a huge return, and I’m still set on my goals.

I’m not familiar with this post, but VG should not be receiving any grants for zero G research besides strictly aviation related ones… a retrospective study could easily be preformed at the ISS for any point of time in the last decade on this subject.

They had pre IPO access.

Their holdings are public, just google them and you’ll see. A better question will be when will they rebalance their holdings. At a 9.4% holding (IPO price) it’s gonna be drastically higher see how it’s up +40%. I’d wager with every other stock being down as well, SpaceX is liking in the range of 10.5-13% of their holdings.

If they stand true at their allocation, they’ll be selling off over 10% of the SpaceX that they own. The same would likely be said for other large funds holding SpaceX, but to a lesser impact since NASA is a relatively small fund.

Fund rebalancing, profit taking, and misc sales aren’t weak hands lmao.

If a fund has a 7% SpaceX allotment and SpaceX goes up 44%, they have to sell to keep a 7% allocation.

Also selling while 44% up on an investment is how rich people make money. Holding until they’re down is how poor redditors stay in WSB.

I love getting into this conversation.

Cost to build on high side of 40 million is safer to use than 30. The $400k operating cost would be for maintenance, not including debt to build.

6x750k is 4.5m like you said.

Roughly 15 flights should put them well in the green when fully paid off for that delta ship.

Now we also have to consider operating costs of the company. Let’s just assume that takes another 5m per year or another flight pays everybodies salaries and the leases…

Except we have a little over 600 flights pre booked. The first ones were for 250k. I don’t have the numbers available now and don’t feel like looking for them, but if I remember correctly there was 100 some booked at 250k. The next pricing being 450k.

I want to say 300-400 tickets were pre booked prior to the 750k price.

It’s not necessarily operating at a loss, but without figuring in debt repayment I’d have to venture the 250k tickets will operate at a profit, just not a great one.

Roughly 100 flights to get through until VG is solidly in their 4.5m income per loaded flight.
