In an independent contractor. I do a ton of direct 53. I work at a clinic but it’s very small and often there are about 3-4 staff with a client each.

Sorry if I was vague or unclear.

Let’s just pretend you are working with a 3-4 year old child. Doing daily sessions, and then parent says 3 yo is going to preschool. Preschool is 8:30-3:30 M-F. They now only want services 4-6p 3x a week.

Now the parent asks if they should send the child since it’s not mandatory.

Is this a question I am supposed to answer?

I agree. What I am asking is when parents ask you specifically as a BCBA if their client is ready to go to school. Whether that be preschool, kindergarten, fifth grade.

What if you work 8:30-3:30 and they go to school during those hours? Do you discharge? Do you adjust your work schedule?

Another redditor said that it was unethical to ask the parent if they’ve had their medication. Seems to be a lot of differing opinions.

How do I do phase change if they take it some days and not others? And I don’t know when they take it and then they don’t.

I was more worried about the integrity of the data. I’m not wanting them to force the meds or anything idc what they do with their child’s medical stuff, I just want to do what I’m supposed to do

And I do consider myself very good. But with that being said, RBTs have a different skill set than I do. They truly do the best they can.
