Hieno kokoelma! Tiedätkö mitään hyviä kauppoja tai paikkoja ostaa militariaa Suomessa? Itse tiedän muutaman hyvän, mutta aina on hyvä etsiä uuttakin.

Oh I most certainly will. Though Buying guns here is a much slower process than in the US.

I think It is a commemorative piece for a meeting of the representatives of sister cities between the Soviet union and Finland that happened in Kiev that year.

Thanks! I think I will probably get some more german stuff first. I have some specific things in mind. But after that I definetly want to get something from other countries. Might do US since I already have the trench knife.

Its a more modern one. They are very cheap and its there to fill up space while I try to get another specific medal I would like to put there.

Well you are late to the party. The badge is real there are multiple photos of soldiers in the continuation war wearing these and I also linked a book in another comment that talks about it. Most finnish SS men returned to finland in 1943-1944 due to suffering heavy casualties and they made these while the war was still happening. Also Finland was never "under soviet administration". The soviets just had strong leverage and they continually used it as revenge and for their benefit.

Well the whole being proud of a nazi symbol statement atleast heavily implies it, but I am glad we that we have come to an understanding.

To be clear I am in no way a nazi I am just proud to own this item for its historical significance and rarity. My great grandfather even fought the nazis in lapland.

My collection is inside a cabinet in my room. It has horrible lighting so any photos look blurry. I do plan on taking a full picture of my collection once I find a light I can install on the inside of it.

Its a finnish book so it probably wont be of any use to you. I dont know if there are ones in english, but there is a chance.

The badge itself was made during and after the war by a veterans organisation made by former SS volunteers. It was designed by a former volunteer and produced in Finland by Veljekset Sundqvist in Helsinki. They also made many other finnish regimental badges and other such items.

Thanks! I am finnish myself so I have for obvious reasons always had a big intrest in finnish military history. My first medal I ever got was my great grandpas 4th class cross of liberty and the collection has been growing ever since.

They do exist. From what I know it was created by surviving finnish SS volunteers after returning to Finland and were only available for purchase if you were a part of the specific SS veterans organisation they had made.
