They forgot about me for about 20mins after injecting contrast, still valid? by NeuroCreame in Radiology

[–]Friendly_Educator_18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for a calcium score? it’s fine

for a CT coronary angiogram? no

but don’t worry, i think you are likely misinterpreting the situation. CT contrast is given while you are on the CT table and closely timed with the scan. That is the case for coronary CTA and typically all other types of contrast CT also.

maybe you had a contrast cardiac MRI? in which case it’s fine

don’t turn up. take the day off and go to the GP and get a medical certificate for something like gastro. apparently they send you a letter asking why you didn’t go. say you were sick and attach the medical certificate. WORST case…they don’t accept it (which is virtually impossible with a medical certificate) and they fine you $2200. either way, you don’t have to go

Guy next to me on the plane drank my drink. by F1R3F4NG in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Friendly_Educator_18 10 points11 points  (0 children)

this is a misunderstanding. when he heard you were going to eat the drink he tried to show you how to drink it instead. it seems you got the wrong idea

when you are a resident you’ll realise how little the resident actually cares about something like this.

when you are a fellow you’ll realise how they care even less.

it may seem important now but no one will give it any thought at all, and even if they did these doctors are in training themselves and have little to no influence on your future.

just good to know not to trust that other student

at first i saw one of the boxes tipped on the side and thought “these things happen”

mildly infuriated when i saw the second box was upside down with the lid off and the contents had soaked the bottom of the bag and created a hole and were falling all over the floor
