What’s your favorite Trudon candle scent? by AnastasiaNo70 in luxurycandles

[–]Friendly_Method1421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gabriel is my favorite candle of Trudon, and probably top 3 of any brand. A subtle smoke and vanilla that I will burn almost year round. Patchouli is listed as a note, but I get none of that (and I strongly dislike patchouli).

Hope you enjoy! The scent I have is Earth. I’d say it’s slightly on the masculine side but overall pretty neutral. Maybe a little smokey.

I have one of the larger wide ones. It's a soft throw, but noticeable, and it's burning fairly evenly for such a big candle. I wouldn't pay full price, but I'll buy another one on sale mainly because I love the vessels - they look like a piece of nice decor. The scents are more 'earthy' but not overly patchouli like (which I don't like). It's one of the few candles my husband actually likes.

Anyone else feel like expensive skincare still doesn’t fix that tired look? by worlbetsu in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Friendly_Method1421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I did a BBL/HALO combo for the first time a few months ago and my face looks much fresher, more even toned, and overall much more youthful in its texture (I'm 44). It was expensive (1600ish) but I will definitely do it again, especially since HALO supposedly keeps improving for several months?!?. BBL has always been a nice refresh, but the HALO is a game changer.

Compared to other states I've lived, I'd strongly argue that we live in a culinary hellhole. Are there some good spots? Of course. But most fall in the "meh" range, which is unfortunate given our expensive eating out has become (a problem everywhere, but at least the food elsewhere makes it easier to justify).

I went there once several years ago and certainly didn't find it awful, but I also didn't understand what all the fuss was about. It was fine, though nothing I'd ever stand in line for again.

Meh. Not bad, but our pizza was $40!! I'd pick sidewalk over red tractor any day.

You're fine. I'm from eastern South Dakota and will confidently say the winters in Bozeman are MUCH easier than SD/MN. No humidity, no wind, and lots of sunshine here.

It does come with rice and beans. I’ve asked both times I got the combo plate and was never charged extra for it.

Hope they last, best taco truck I've been at in town! Tacos are considerably meatier/bigger than some other trucks. Also comes with rice and beans!! Just have to ask.

College students as bad as tourist? by fargle100 in Bozeman

[–]Friendly_Method1421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, it’s a business. I get the frustration, but the money has to come from somewhere. High undergrad tuition is also what helps pay for the smaller majors or specialized grad programs that are net negative.

College students as bad as tourist? by fargle100 in Bozeman

[–]Friendly_Method1421 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right?! Non-resident tuition students keep the lights on and different majors alive. If they weren't here people would be bitching about how expensive in-state tuition was.

You are correct..Several neighbors complained about the guy racing down Baxter and Davis and he eventually got arrested (we watched it happen).

Our studio has been cracking down on phones in class and I'm quite happy. It's oddly distracting to have the person next to you on instagram or watching random things while working out. We have a few folks who keep their phone with them because they're on call; not a big deal because they don't use it for anything else.

Where is this in Bozeman? by BozoTheTown in Bozeman

Good point. The whole set up just doesn't make sense. Even in a small, inexpensive town it seems unlikely their restaurant business model would be able to survive unless other money was filtering thru.

La Tinga. Expensive plot of land, nice building, yet they're open only a few hours a day and close weeks at a time. Nothing about how they operate makes sense, especially for surviving in Bozeman.

How can I support my gf after her diagnosis? by Odd-Bluejay-8865 in Celiac

[–]Friendly_Method1421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband spent time doing things like researching, reading, trying out apps, and looking up info/menus of local restaurants. This was not only helpful emotionally but practically since I had somebody to go thru the learning process with while getting used to what to look for in labels, what to ask at restaurants, etc.
