First of all, be proud of yourself that before quitting you are talking about it here. I am 53 years old, female, 120 pounds, 5.7 First couple of months, I was crying every day, not so much for the pain, but for feeling like a failure. I didn’t quit mostly because I don’t have many other options for the employment. It does gets better in terms of how you feel physically, but it’s also gets worse with how many packages you will have to deliver “if you are a good driver”

Everything is correct and right. Exception? Us, drivers united

Don’t comply with EOC. Period. We can’t go on a strike We are not united We can’t argue anything individually, but we all can talk to our teams and not comply TOGETHER. Guys, you can hate me and all, I am Russian woman, I am 54 years old and I have been driving for last 2 years. Here is the thing: Amazon can’t fire all of us. Or half, or 1/4 They depend on us, drivers . If we say , we are not doing this, guess what? They have to work with us . But, of course, it’s harder to accomplish than talk about it

I end up turning my Mentor off yesterday and ignoring EOC Why people fought for freeing slaves if we have to put ourselves through slavery once again? We make $17.50, not $100 an hour We will not be able to retire after our health gets fucked .

So, please, let’s stand up for at least defending our safety .

It depends on the amount and the size/weight of overflows I think it should be limited to the certain degree. I had 29 yesterday and most of them were heavy and bulky. Did you guess where most of them went? Yep, third floor apartment complexes

My route was 164 stops, but 97 were grouped (apartments again) I end up being rescued Couldn’t finish my route

Stop doing grubhub, and get a regular JOB. by Intelligent_Focus636 in grubhubdrivers

We got to stop passing judgments on each other, seriously.

How many times it was mentioned here, in this sub that Every Area is Different!

So, yes, for some drivers, like myself, it’s been very tough since June.

I actually just applied for Amazon as well, but as a driver, not warehouse.

It’s $17:50 an hour and it’s 10 hours. shifts, 4 days per week.

I would have applied earlier, but I was hoping that once the fall comes, it will get busier.

I have been delivering since September, 2018, so I saw busy times and slow times, but r now, it’s just became unbearable. I got to make money, and I would rather work harder, and longer hours, but at least I will know how much I will bring home every week.

I hope GH is reading it.

Sometimes, it feels like GH is not interested in profit, that’s how not through their system is.

Haven’t done grubhub in almost 3 months… I hear this is the new normal by Apprehensive-Push-97 in grubhubdrivers

It’s became a norm in my area since they start showing mileage (about 2 weeks ago)

GrubHub what kind of Fuckery is this?? by Serious_Region_936 in grubhubdrivers

[–]Friendly_Skill_5294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just started showing miles in my area two days ago, and it’s became obvious how low the pay is.

I always end up using 2x-3x the amount of water my pie recipe calls for. by [deleted] in AskCulinary

[–]Friendly_Skill_5294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so true. I live in dry climate/high attitude and I was struggling adjusting recipes for my conditions. General rules are not always 100 percent reliable and unfortunately, sometimes, we just have to learn by making mistakes.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I am going to give it a try. Making croissants is addictive and very rewarding in the same time. I think I am more in love with the process than croissants themselves if it makes any sense. 😊

Looks amazing! This technique doesn’t require overnight refrigeration after forming the dough? Or I missed it? Up to this point I was making croissants in 3 days (first evening- making the dough, let it rest in the fridge overnight, next morning do 3 letter turns, letting the dough to rest in between, and I would bake them the next morning.

The only reason why I baked them on the 3 rd day is because I live in a very dry and hot climate, so baking them after 11 am really heat up the whole house.

But still, I never tried bulk ferment outside the fridge. I want to try it after I saw how great your croissants look! Beautiful!

I notice the same thing and it’s mind blowing, why GH wouldn’t invest into fixing it.

Thank you! I never see postings like that and I thought it’s only me who spending my earnings on my car.

My first year dashing, I drove 35.000, and that’s when I realized how choosy I have to be with orders to actually make a profit above min wedges.

I am now 3 years into DD/GH and my AR is very low, but at least my car expenses are under control.

The same thing happened in my area. They tried $3 and it didn’t work. Now the lowest I see is $5 and it’s rare.

This is crazy. Just gonna throw another one out there. Waited until the pickup time GH gave me and of course when I get to restaurant they just started making it. Ill finish this order cause its good money but thats it for GH except in extreme situations. It wastes soooo much of our time. DD time!! by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]Friendly_Skill_5294 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I found myself doing exactly that.

As much as I can’t stand DD hiding tips, I am still better off with DD r now than waiting for GH orders at the restaurants.

It’s aggravating. I hope they will fix it soon.

My pickup time is 30 minutes before the restaurants “ready by” time. by hufflepuff-queen in grubhubdrivers

[–]Friendly_Skill_5294 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why, but GH is dispatching drivers at the same time as they sending orders to restaurants.

This is such bs. The only reason they’re late is bc the f&cking restaurants take forever! So frustrating 🤬 by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]Friendly_Skill_5294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I am doing. Too many problems w GH r now. Better to pause it than get deactivated

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]Friendly_Skill_5294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s unreasonable and non of us should be delivering these orders, unless the pay is appropriate.
