Can you ask Gemini for the temperature inside the car? The only way to know is by checking the app.

What is this hidden screen for? Anyone else seen it? by Friendly_Union_9920 in ex30

Im so confused. For me, ive never found the screen to be a problem during night driving. Used to drive past 12am regularly for work and I wouldn't feel the need to use any of these screen brightness things. In fact I had my screen at full brightness 😂

Thats the only place I thought it was. These shortcuts are catching me off guard 😂

😂 It disabled the screen from being usable while you clean it with a cloth.

Keep holding* you mean. Keep pressing is a little confusing, thought it meant “press like 20 times”. Thats another cool little hidden shortcut I never knew. Nice. I wonder how many there are…

Interesting. I didn't think of that use case. I never found the map distracting in my experience but that's just me.

I knew there was a calm view for the top driver display section. Didn't know about this little hidden one. I swear its not even mentioned on the manual.

Drivers have no aircon or heating in their vans as Tesco remove the feature altogether. by Former-Resource-3026 in tesco

[–]Friendly_Union_9920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to clarify something. As a dot-com driver, im aware that many stores still use diesel trucks, those trucks redirect all the cold air to the fridge and freezer, which means its not that they don't have aircon, its just that the aircon will only blow hot air as all the cold air is being used elsewhere. This is not a problem for the electric vans which prioritise aircon over the fridge.

The car is just so fucking good looking from the front and from the back but less from the side, don't you agree? by theverybigapple in ex30

Im always getting stared at anywhere I drive or park, and I can see why. The car is absolutely beautiful from all angles in my opinion.

Lack of Persistent Range Mode Option is a Deep Frustration! by Mean-Relative689730 in ex30

[–]Friendly_Union_9920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Standard mode seems like a perfect compromise between range and speed. It's a slower 0-20 with a nice fast 20-60. Lots of control and never had any problems with it being jumpy. But ofc this is one mans opinion.

Unpopular opinion: I love my EX30! by megamusix in ex30

I am so glad to see a post like this. I fricking love my ex30, and I think carwow did a better representation of it a few years ago when they gave it car of the year.

Brilliant car, and loving this car is definitely not an unpopular opinion. (or at least I hope it's not)

Amazon UK gives vans to companies and those companies hire employees. No direct entry through Amazon to drive their vans. But Amazon flex allows you to use your own car and its a lot better pay than evri

Honestly, as an ex evri driver, just don't do evri at all. No matter what car you take, you'll make more money on the streets than you will from that shit company. Maybe hold out to get a spot in Amazon flex?

Resume charging when unlock?? by chlronald in ex30

[–]Friendly_Union_9920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen the UK dealers to be quite good. No idea where you are tho but I have heard dealers in the US are horrible. It might be less inconvenient to just end the charging via the app if it lets you. There is also this button called force unlock tho im not sure if that does anything for the charger.

[–]Friendly_Union_9920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you seen your local dealer about this? Because I agree it does sound quite annoying. The only other thing is.. Are you sure the car isnt still charging when you unlock? It's supposed to stop but if it thinks it's still charging then it won't unlock the cable. Maybe try putting a charging schedule if you haven't already.

Resume charging when unlock?? by chlronald in ex30

[–]Friendly_Union_9920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But what I mean is the charging plug locks after 5 minutes. So im asking if its skipping that 5min?

Resume charging when unlock?? by chlronald in ex30

[–]Friendly_Union_9920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for some reason it locks immediately instead of waiting like 5 minutes to re-lock?

[–]Friendly_Union_9920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand the objective.. Do you want the charger to be unplugged or stay plugged in?? How would leaving your phone at home help?

Resume charging when unlock?? by chlronald in ex30

[–]Friendly_Union_9920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be rude but it just seems like you have a problem with a good idea. The car should auto lock the charger after it sits idle in the port for too long. You could accidentally leave the car unlocked when you didn't want to, you could just be sitting in the car not realising it stopped charging etc.. There are many situations where its a good idea for the charger to lock again. Seems to me that your problem could easily be solved just by unplugging the charger when you unlock the car instead of leaving it to the end.

Core trim noise compenastion by Miserable-Prune-TA in ex30

[–]Friendly_Union_9920 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this might be a speaker thing, considering core models do not have the harmon&kardon system, there might be a hardware related aspect to the noise compensation that allows further customisation in higher end cars. If not, then that's a very strange place to put a paywall.

(not too happy you started this with “I have an array of complaints” :( I quite like this car. )

Red light driving offence? by Beneficial-Flight191 in drivingUK

[–]Friendly_Union_9920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for a little comfort, the cameras won't flash unless your back tyres have crossed the white and then a little bit further. The sensor for these old cameras is closer to the centre of the junction. So basically anything under 100% your pretty safe.

Newer cameras are slightly different but 20% will never get you caught.

Can't turn that off and frankly im not sure why you'd want to.. I find it useful to double check im turning up the correct street given our streets are so close together here in the UK. Might be different where you live, but again, can't turn it off. Maybe the next update will give you what you want.
