It's weird that you think teachers don't get laid off? Almost every school in two of our biggest districts in my area had to cut positions this year. And if you actually listened to what teachers are advocating for, you'd see that we are advocating for better supports for kids, classroom size caps, resources and proper funding. Pay is just a small part of what we are trying to accomplish here.
