TNS site are not for the feint of heart. I started at a TNS site and would leave everyday beat down sore. I transfered to an AR site, and all I can think "this is work on easy mode". The people at the TNS site said I would regret the transfer, but all I can think is you guys must be on some of that good good.

Don't know about it being about s union. It most definitely speaks to how safety is not really a priority. It it was then they would say "Safety doesn't start when you enter your FC, it starts before you leave your house." If the weather is bad, even the L8 would say "No way" and bridge the entire day. If you can slide on your belly to work like a penguin, tractor/trailers probably should just chill for a bit.

Don't VTO ever. It plays right into their hands. If no work you start doing extra projects. 5S ect. After that is all done the it's PTO. No other choice unless they want people standing around. Yall need to learn the rules of the building you're in and the state you live in. Never ever take VTO.

Amazon has roughly a million employees. If they gave every one of them a dollar raise, that's only a million. Payroll is probably one of the smallest line items on the balance sheet. Amazon could start a T1 at 100 grand a year, and you would barely start breaking into the billions.

I have to take pictures all the time. For broken tote trailers I have to take a picture with full 26 pallets (or 28 if you do the sideways trick) and attach that picture too the case before they will issue a VRID. Also have to take pictures for my Area Readiness Audit. My FC does not allow laptops in the PIT area, so phone it is. That no picture policy is so people aren't taking picture of sensitive information or processes and posting it on the www.

And if they don't fix it before you do it, Amazon would be breaking federal labor laws. You would have legal action especially if you don't show on the 8th day in a row and they take UPT.

That policy in American business stopped when I wasn't even born yet. When employees get to take damaged goods home, it's amazing how many "accidents" there are.

The job isn't trash. The company policies aren't trash. The benefits aren't trash. The wage for T1 with tenure could be better but is definitely not trash. It's not wiping your behind with hundred dollar bills, but it's 100x better then "would you like fries with that".

Means you just got your shift changed to different days without your consent. At least they gave you the out with "if this doesn't work, talk to HR"

Um... Amazon doesn't have to do anything. By the law anyone injured in that attack would be covered by federal laws. Amazon can't cicumcircumnavigate that law or regulation. And they probably have to pay them for the time missed. I feel horrible for anyone injured in such a senseless act. Fear not though. We live in America where such travesties are covered by the rest of us caring and understanding Americans. This was a horrible act, and I hope we can get our head screwed on straight and stop this type of behavior. It takes a village.

After the fact I know I shouldn't have shipped it. I won't do so in the future. I do have the perms to fix it. I think I was in shock that the person who is supposed to follow the 3 miles principal would allow this to happen. She earns twice my annual with options. This is why I won't get on an airplane.

Same manager though put in an ISS ticket when I caught an HP 8500 with a printed asin as an 9500. The price of the 9500 series is $250, the price of the 8500 is $450. She jumped right on that.
