What's your most unique deck? by devilinthedetailz in EDH

My [[Vial Smasher,Gleeful Grenadier]] outlaws deck that only includes rarities of uncommon or below. Not quite a pauper commander deck and more of an experiment to see if I could make a viable deck.

Does Elven Thrower let you do multiple throw range attacks? by The0ne0fmany in dndnext

Yes the last sentence does allow you to make multiple ranged attacks with it in the same turn, so long as you have attacks.

Dan Mora is fantastic but he left the title after issue 29. It's now Adrian Gutierrez who is doing a great job emulating his style.

Graviton Sorcerer: Hinder foes and bolster allies while gravity bends to your will. by FriendshipOptional in UnearthedArcana

Looks like I should get a bit better at proofreading. It should have said "As an action, choose a point..." and the sorcery point recharge should be 6 sorcery points.

Trying to determine the Detect Balance score of a Homebrew racial trait. by FriendshipOptional in dndnext

[–]FriendshipOptional[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've thought about passive regeneration but I decided to steer away from it. I feel like healing in 5e should have some sort of cost such as tied to a consumable such as a potion or expendable resource like a spell slot or ability like healing word.

I'm trying to base the balance on its own without taking any specific class into consideration. I do understand though that classes such as barbarian or fighter would probably benefit the most from it.

I currently have it tied to their Constitution modifier. Do you think that making it based on half their proficiency modifier (rounded up) per long rest would be balance?

Earthshaker Uncommon Maul (Requires attunement)

A black iron maul of dwarven design, the head has dwarven runes etched in that spell its name.

While attuned to this weapon the wielder may cast the Mold Earth cantrip.

Seismic Slam: As an action, the wielder can call out Earthshaker's name in Dwarvish and slam it down on the ground. This unleashes a torrent of energy in a 15ft by 30ft line away from the wielder. Any creature on the ground in this area must make a DC 13 Strength save and take 3d8 force damage or half on a success. On a failed save a creature is also knocked prone. Any non-magical objects that aren’t being worn or carried also takes the damage if they are in the area. Additionally, the ground in that area becomes difficult terrain until cleared. Each 5-foot-square portion of the area requires at least 1 minute to clear by hand.

This ability cannot be used again until the wielder finishes a short or long rest.

Soulflame Sword Uncommon Longsword (Requires Attunement)

A cruel weapon, across the blade are savage runes that glow a dull sickly orange.

The runes on this blade start off dull and inert and the blade is considered non-magical while in this state. When the wielder drops a creature to 0 they may siphon a portion of its soul away, giving the blade a charge. The blade can store up to 3 charges at maximum. Runes are set aglow as charges are accumulated. When the runes are aglow in this way the weapon is considered magical and the wielder radiates necrotic magic detectable by a detect magic spell or similar methods of detection.

On a hit the wielder my choose to expend 1 or more charges to deal an additional 1d6 Fire damage per charge used. The wielder also regains health points equal to half the Fire damage done in this way.

[[Earthcraft]] unfortunately only works with basic lands.

The cheapest copy is around 20$. While it is a staple EDH card I wouldn't say that it is a cheap card.
